Pretty much none of this info is important to Pride's story so I'm just posting some doodle pages here. It's my comic and I get to choose the comfort character cameos.
I would info dump about all of them but i legit just accidentally ate mouldy grapes so I'm gonna go take care of that.
Undine didn't attend her graduation in Aurora Skies because, uh, someone (me) was too impatient and just wanted her out of there, so her first order of business on her second day in Sunlit Tides was heading to City Hall for graduation. As soon as she wrapped that up, I sent her right back in to register as a self-employed sculptor.
Afterwards, she needed some social and wanted to meet people, so I sent her to the Summer Festival. It was deserted.
It reminded me of teen Wilona's sad attempt to have her young adult birthday there.
Aside: I'm not fond of the Sunlit Tides festival grounds. There are too many little nooks and crannies for Sims to hide in, and hide in them they do. But it's so huge that if your Sim heads for one upstairs corner bar, and has the bad luck to encounter Sims there who are on their way home, then by the time your Sim crosses the lot to the opposite upstairs corner bar, the grounds will be closing for the day.
Undine tried to meet someone, anyone besides the maid and the mascot, another day. At the swim center across the street from her house, she did meet and befriend Kai Kahale.
I ignored the mutual attraction. Velma's love life was complicated enough for three generations--the last thing I want is to have Undine pursue a married man.
Undine had earned a promotion as a sculptor by then, and Kai was kind enough to congratulate her on it.
On the bright side, Undine certainly knows where to find Alonso, and she ran into Hazel Hoffman in the library and befriended her, so... progress is being made.

as part of the royal family of sulani, the royal house of kahale, prince kai tries his best to modernise the island and the infrastructure while still paying respect and treasuring the culture and the spirit of the island. with 7 older siblings, kai’s chances of one day being king are very slim, and he therefore sometimes feels self-conscious , which pushes him to being a perfectionist in order to not disappoint his family.
another reason for his perfectionism is his coming out story: two years ago paparazzi caught him with another guy in a beach bar on his 20th birthday party and since then he is constantly followed by the press. his family took the news relatively well, the only thing his parents care about are grand children to continue the royal blood line.
kai loves to be close to the townsfolk and loves to hold speeches and interviews, he sort of became the speaker of the royal family.
