Thanks Emily P. now there are a bunch of other fucktards coming out with their bad face up skills.. hahaha Now we have a Kai P. over there doing absolute crap. Dolly abuse at it's finest. Like seriously just go pay someone else to paint your dolls.
i know lots of people are angry that kai wasn´t redeemed but i actually think its great seeing a character that we love be so fucked up that he cant be saved?? like yeah i know the writers could make kai be redeemed and become a part of the mystic falls gang because they literally have control of what happens in the show, but having a villain be evil until his death and die evil is a nice breath of fresh air?? not everyone can be redeemed, not everyone wants to be redeemed?? kai was broken beyond fixing and its nice to see that not everyone gets a (at least semi) happy ending and that not everyone gets “saved”?? it wouldnt be realistic at all if anyone of the mystic falls people were to forgive kai for all the stuff he did?? like trust me i love kai i would love for him to not die and continue to be a villain cause the character was so good for the show but i would never want for him to be redeemed into a good guy ever
Okay first before I start this rant/meta/goodbye to Kai I just want tot say that l am so so happy they introduced Kai in TVD in the first place and that they cast Chris Wood to do it. Chris did really really great, amazing, as Kai. Kai made me excited to watch TVD again.
Kai was nearly like, a breath of fresh air? Even though he resembled Klaus a lot (the need for attention, the willingness to do about anything for power, the need to be in control, the loneliness, the fucked up family relationships.) He made everything interesting, unpredictable because /he/ was unpredictable himself.
Kai was so raving mad, and he somehow went even further as the season went on? First we all thought he was kinda cute even though also very evil - but later, at least I, got really interested in who Kai really was. /Why/ he was like he was. What had wronged him so badly that he /murdered/ his own flesh and blood? His own siblings, someone whom he lived with for his whole life. People he was supposed to call his “family” (though I heavily doubt the Parkers ever where like a functioning family.) He got me interested in how this character manage to come off as so happy and goluck even though he confessed that he countless of times had tired to commit suicide in the 1992 prison world. Even after all those years completely alone, he still managed to maintain that almost childlike glee even if everything he said showed how completely off his rocker he was.
And as the episodes after Kai was introduced went on I could not be more happy. Yes, I would love to see more of just how the Parker family was up to the point where Kai went over that cliff. How their family functioned before he killed his siblings. Imagine how a home where a person manages to get so fucked up and broken would be? Yes, I know Kai probably had a lot of anger inside himself, and you can´t blame it all on his family but obviously how he was treated by them was /some/ of the reason he turned out the way he did.
I would’ve loved to see more of Kai, but somehow the little glimpses of him we got was enough. Little hints. Tells about his life, his real personality and his real feelings. Just enough to keep us wondering and interested.
Kai was what The Vampire Diaries needed, if I´m going to be totally honest. They needed something crazy, that the fans love and that would makes us curious about what´s going to happen next cause as I said before, Kai was so unpredictable while still keeping to the storyline.
Watching Kai go over lines and lengths I couldn´t ever imagine TVD actually doing was a pleasure. To see Kai go even more mad, get even more broken, was an amazing journey. He made me horrified. He made me laugh. He made me sad.
So as much as I wish that we would get thousands of more scenes of Chris Wood as Kai, I´m glad it went how it did. I would actually preferred for him to kill himself - but that would be a little OOC as Kai seemed to be willing to cross ever line just to continue living.
I´m just happy we got introduced to this completely mad, amazing character and I hope the TVD writers have more characters like him coming for the next season.
I love Kai so much - but I see why he had to die and actually I didnt mind much that Damon did it, Kai was already about to take the jump over the cliff Damon just pushed him
Small Kai drabble about the ending of 6x21, nearly 300 words so very short.
Their eyes are so so big. So scared. It´s perfect. All those people who judged him. All those who glared at him. Who told him he was a mistake, a failure, a freak. They´re all shaking with fear right now. Trembling just by the look of his face.
These people who celebrated his birth. The wins. The gemini covens new potential leader.
These people who turned their backs on him when they realised that he didn´t even have his own power. Those people who thought he was no longer worth it. Worth care, friends, love when he couldn´t possibly be their leader.
People who overlooked the pain his own father brought down on him. How their father loved Josette even if she couldn´t be the leader. Oh how he adored her, their father´s eyes would crinkle in a smile whenever Jo laughed. But his smile would turn to a frown whenever Kai was mentioned. Whenever Kai was in the room, whenever his own son was nearby.
These people trembling in fear now, who ignored how much it hurt Kai to be told that no, you can´t be a Gemini leader if you don´t have that double power. You can´t be accepted as our leader when you´re a freak of nature. When you´re weak.
They thought they were better off when his father made Kai an outcast in his own coven, his own family. That they were free of him for good when they locked him in that god forsaken prison.
So they deserve this. All of them. They deserve to see what they ignored. They deserve to see their own creation.
And they deserve to suffer, because after all - it´s their own damn fault.
I saw your post in the kai tag about the books. the gemini coven is not in the books at all, in fact the show is loosely based on the books. Though Kai does kind of resemble Klaus in the books tbh, his personality pre-merge, loosely though
ahh okay, thanks so much for answering this like ive never read any of the books so i had literally no idea and it just irked me not knowing :)
i hope you dont mind me posting this so i can keep it for the next time im wondering about this
the worst thing is kai probably knows exactly how bonnie felt because he WAS left alone by his own family for many many years and he DID try to kill himself and he just couldnt die and he tried so many times and he probably feels even worse now after he merged with luke and actually got feelings cause he knows he´s the main reason bonnie felt like that and the guilt is eating him away
