"When I heard that Veenyle was the Roppongi division leader, I couldn't believe it. I mean, he is one of the best producers in Japan. I don't think anyone can say that they have never dreamed of working with him in the production of any album or single.

Gosh, I wish I could meet him and ask him about his inspirations in the music world, his ambitions, his career as a DJ. It must be quite an incredible story! In fact, with Eiji we listened to him on the radio for a while now, as a kind of ritual. I think Eiji feels very identified with him because they both have African-American blood. Being a hafu has not been an easy path for Eiji, so seeing someone like him succeeding in the music world I think inspires him".

"I have never been able to hear or meet Mireya in person, but I think she is an amazing woman. You can tell she has a very strong character, I have no doubt she must have a pretty special talent.

I heard that she speaks Spanish, because of her lineage. It would be great to be able to talk to her from that language, I'm learning some words, you know, so I can integrate them into some songs".

No fucking way! He is a stuntman?! THAT'S VERY COOL. Is he one of those who jumps things and makes dangerous scenes? I need to know in which movies he appears!!!!!!

Anyway, I think I like this guy. He seems to be a very chill and nice person. I had no idea Kai had a son. They are literally a very talented family in every way.

“Mrs. Quinlan, correct? Surprisingly, I am not one to frequent businesses such as hers. Shocking, I know. Joking aside, she appears to be respectable. A passionate woman, determined to get what she wants. And from what I hear, she has most of that achieved. A supportive husband, a rowdy son, and a club entirely run by her. If only she wasn’t burdened with certain… Obstacles, she would be living her life without a single worry. Unfortunately, the world has other plans… Or so I hear.”

He has a radio show that people love here and he DJ’s at his wife’s club, so though I don’t see him in person all that much, I can at least say he’s very well-liked with over here in Roppongi!”

“Y’know, I kinda wish I could have the time to actually stop by the club and let loose. But there’s soooooooo many things keeping me busy! Not that I can complain, I love ever aspect of my life right now! But I don’t think I’ve went clubbing in like, what, three years? A lot of my friends in Hollywood often ask about nightlife in Tokyo. You know what I tell ‘em? That they should visit Gypsy’s Palace! I’ve seen what it’s like inside— duh— I’ve done her hubbie’s makeup there! Name aside, it’s really a great place to be and it’s nice to have this place in our hometown! It ain’t easy running a place on your own, so I gotta give credit where credit’s due! I just don’t know her personally enough to really talk about… her.”

“Hm? Oh, it’s the dead-faced mixed guy. I don’t get to meet with people like him often so I sort of instinctively felt the need to make him crack a smile. Talk about a total failure though… He stayed deadpan throughout the whole thing. Not even an annoyed glare or look of confusion. Reminded me a lot of when Asato-kun was a little kid, just no signal inside that dome. I just hope this guy isn’t burdened with something awful. I’d like to see him crack out from his shell, even just a little!”

“I’m not too familiar with Mireya… A club and casino owner sounds pretty fun though! Places like that aren’t really my thing, unfortunately. I’ll take a chill bar like the Eagle’s Nest over any fancy nightclub. But hey, if Jakurai-kun and his team are feeling adventurous, maybe we can take a peek into there? It could be fun to see Jakurai get even more loose for one night, haha!”

“Zakari! He’s a riot… In more ways than one from what I hear. I first met him in Shinjuku when he was getting a health checkup from Jakurai. According to him, Zakari-kun is the type to take these daring risks. Which is pretty hard to believe just looking at him! Then again, knowing the people I know, you never know who’s a normal Joe and who’s the adrenaline junkie.”

“It is fun having someone open to hearing my jokes though. It’s a nice change of pace from all the joking around I do with my coworkers… Speaking of which, he’s been so sure that I, Jakurai’s closest friend can’t get him to laugh. “This is a pretty interesting lineup… I’d have to guess that since Mireya-san is Zakari’s mom, then Kai would be his dad? So a new family team? Especially sensei since he remembers like, nothing about him! But I know Kai-chan even more! Mostly because I’m banned from Gypsy’s Palace. Which like, boo! But it isn’t Kai-chan’s fault. If anything, it’s business between Mire-chan and me, so I don’t hate him.”

“And there she is~! Cranky, cranky Mire-chan! Hehe she was fun to tease when we weren’t talking about all the business stuff. But yeah, she doesn’t seem to like detectives. Must be something personal because she looked like she wanted to kick me out and into the trash. Which is totally unfair to think when you’re meeting someone for the first time! I mean, I was on a case to find a missing girl! Sure, I did find her… I just wasn’t expecting the owner of the club she frequented to have a problem. If only Mire-chan wasn’t quick to pay me off to kick me out. I’m pretty open to hearing from both sides of my case after all! Heck, you’d be surprised how many missing cases turn out to be runaways from abusive home situations… It’s a lot.”

“Anyways, I took the money and kinda broke on the deal. I mean can you blame me? I had two pretty ladies crying from both sides! B-But it’s not like I forced anything to happen! I just found little missy outside of the club and told her that when she’s ready, she should eventually make a decision on what to do about her mom. Laws here are pretty nasty when it comes to children so poor girl can get found by someone less forgiving than me and forced back to her mother. Even if she’s close to being an independent adult, which is so unfair. So I gave her my advice: If she feels safe, she calls her mother to negotiate. If not, move. I mean… If I found her, the next guy that gets hired is gonna find her too. I haven’t heard from the daughter since, but man did I get an earful from the mom! And who do I gotta blame for getting me in trouble with clients? It’s all these goodie-goodie people like Mire-chan that just have to make my job so difficult! More than it needs to be!”

“Zakari Hiroya, age 22, stands at 177 centimeters and weighs 77 kilograms…Uuugh I can’t be mean towards Za-chan! I just… I got curious about him after I just happened to spot him in Roppongi. I mean most people might miss him normally, but I saw him when I was making this risky escape from some bad guys. I didn’t expect to see anyone on the rooftops with me and I don’t think he did either since he didn’t notice me that day. But he was so cool! He was jumping from roof to roof before he disappeared into the night like a pro!”

“So after that, I maybe sorta followed him around whenever work lead me to Roppongi. I know its not nice to do, but I can’t help it! Especially when he finally confronted me, he didn’t threaten me or shoo me away like some creep. He actually said he felt honored that someone was interested in him! E-Even if I lied to him, it made me feel happy that he wasn’t weirded out by me. Since then, we’ve been friendly with each other so I’ve stopped sneaking around him as much. I still have yet to see Za-chan actually perform, but its mostly because I’m kinda afraid of stepping on Mire-chan’s toes.”
