ive mentioned this before about him but i'm mentioning it again on this blog: kaien doesn't rly play video games! hes generally uninterested in them nd is of the mindset that if he's already gonna be at home and not out somewhere, he'd rather b sleeping bcs he's always missing out on sleep

hes a great passenger player though- like if 1 of his friends is playing sth he loves to sit w them and commentate on what's going on/help them figure shit out and he's good at following plotlines/staying engaged if someone's showing him their fav game. hes just not interested in playing anyth himself

he's honestly kind of chronically offline in general. re socmed he's got line and insta (altho its a mostly empty priv acc. hes not against having his face online or anyth and his sister+friends tag him in their posts all the time but he just never posts anyth of his own bcs it doesnt interest him) nd thats basically it.

the only reason he stays somewhat following current online trends is bcs his friends love 2 send him posts abt everyth

in the same vein but unless you have his number to call/text him or know him irl (ie. literally come see him in person) he's probably not talking to you. he's got soooo many follow requests on insta hes just never checked. (sometimes his close friends will go through them for him LMFAO)

he DOES scroll his feed/watch stories though nd will always drop a like+comment. he absolutely keeps up w ppl he likes! <3

U could probably guess this from everyth so far but hes never used a dating app either. he doesnt meet ppl online at all i think its 1 of the funniest things about him. Sexiest man alive doesnt have an online presence

U can see him on his family's cafe's account though. sei (his sister) manages it and posts updates relatively often! it's mostly menu updates/releases nd behind the scenes stuff but bcs kaien's the one making the desserts, u can see him/his hands in some of the pictures

12.07 Olivia Ayla Damir não é insana. Apenas precisava muito, muito mesmo, de dinheiro. E ainda precisa, pensou ao bloquear a tela com um suspiro exasperado. Entre contas de cartões que sequer lembrava da existência, aluguel, alimentação, passagem e o nome afogado nas dívidas da infame taxa universitária… Sabia que o emprego de meio período não a sustentaria por muito mais tempo. 

O beco estreito e anguloso obstruía a visão do que poderia estar à espreita entre as curvas, e em reflexo, a morena firmava ainda mais o aperto do aparelho entre as mãos. Sim, talvez sua situação financeira não devesse ser a maior preocupação no momento, mas como não pensar? Com certeza vinha daí o princípio de tudo.

 A tela piscava insistente e Olivia encarou pesarosa a notificação com a prévia da mensagem não lida.

Minutos atrás e kaien era apenas a plataforma digital com a qual se comunicava para atingir metas e acumular pontos em um jogo. E agora aqui estava. Aliás, onde estava? As cores fluorescentes piscavam e confundiam seus sentidos, um jingle esquisito e alto impedindo que se concentrasse em reconhecer edifícios ou placas do local. 

Soube através de amigos a respeito das diferentes plataformas online que ofereciam prêmios em dinheiro em troca de downloads e divulgação —  era pouco e praticamente zerava o espaço interno disponível do dispositivo, mas o sentimento de felicidade ao ser enganada pelo capitalismo em troca de pequenas esmolas fazia valer a pena. Então, quando o anúncio surgiu em seu celular do mais novo aplicativo ASTRA: “um jogo estelar sob fase alfa de teste e desenvolvimento em busca de novos jogadores”, jogadores estes que seriam pagos (iria repetir mais uma vez caso alguém não tenha entendido, P-A-G-O-S!) para avaliarem o software...

a-liv estava cadastrada, online e prosperando. Um jogo com a sua temática favorita, o que podia dar errado?

O celular vibrou em suas mãos mais uma vez, despertando-a dos devaneios confusos.

he remembers parties like these with the sharp, vivid clarity of a yester-memory. used to love them, even, the same way any kid loves big, lavish celebrations and indulgent food spreads — his parents never let him stray too far from their sights (out of fear, he knows now; easier to keep an eye on one nestling than the however many carnivores circling the perimeters), but it only meant he got to watch them up close, see the easy way they worked their surroundings, always in tandem, a well-oiled machine.

“a pretty good idea.”    he slides up next to toshiro, arm to shoulder, a half-full flute in one hand and topped champagne in the other; the one he hands over. he lifts his own glass to his lips, surveying the venue over the rim. 

“let’s picture a scale here.”    his throat moves as he swallows the rest of his drink and sets the glass aside. should probably have both hands for this.    “on one end, there’s you suggestin’ a fashionably early retreat, and my important role involves makin’ anyone who’s anyone here think we’re leavin’ on account of the fancier, more exclusive party they unfortunately weren’t invited to.”   

he knows how those with money act… and how those with serious money act. it’d take maybe fifteen minutes, tops.

“the other end involves light to medium use of man and/or firepower — just for example, to calibrate the ends. now, mindin’ the scale, where’s this pretty good idea of yours sittin’ at? just curious, is all.”    a beat.    “rough estimate’s fine.”

Daria leans into Kaien's side, smiling something sweet; she's preening, actually, almost purring. Does she care that they're getting stared at for public PDA? Not at all! "I'm, like, wearin' the new perfume you got me! Doesn't it smell totes awesome on me?" And on him, if how close they are is anything to go by.

his arm’s been spread out over the back of the booth for the better part of the last half-hour and he adjusts eagerly to coil around her, heedless of the onlookers— inviting, even, fingers idly plucking, tugging at, loosely curling the bottom of a lock of her hair. he grins, sugary to match. “ totes. ” he leans right back into her side in turn— the apt visual of a pair of bonded cats affectionately butting heads. “ noticed somethin’ different as soon as you sat down. ” predictable reveal: considering how their rendezvous tend to be— appropriately handsy, to be specific— he absolutely picked out a scent to compliment them both, mixed notes of sweet and spice.

he sneaks a peck against her temple, lingering, humming low in his throat. “ my compliments to the chef. ”
