Here are Ronnie and Josh: Kaifaeren outcasts.
As outcasts of the Kaifaeren village they live in/near, they have been branded so others can be sure they are not associating with them, and also to make them a target for verbal and physical abuse; which is entirely justified in the eyes of the Kaifaeren.
Josh and Ron are both very aggressive and have seriously hurt others of their kind as well as elves and other races. Which is one of the reasons they are outcasts.
The Kaifaeren brand their outcasts with a big tattoo that is very easy to spot (the small part of the tattoo on both their shoulders) for the reasons stated above, but also as punishment for whatever serious crime they commited, or continually committed.
