i didn’t come home to a noise violation or an eviction notice today, which is awesome. because that was a real concern i had after my brother’s battlefield-related rage tantrum got too loud again last night we’ve already had one and i don’t know how many noise violations our apartment complex will give before they’d just tell us to GTFO. it makes me really anxious and i used to be too afraid to knock on his door and tell him to shut up because i hate loud angry noises, i hate yelling, sometimes i just kinda...shut down when it happens. but when it started escalating from his usual angry cursing to slamming and throwing shit at walls i did knock on his door. and he stopped, surprisingly it’s really important to me that we don’t get kicked out of this apartment because we were basically evicted from the last place we lived with our dad. i was left scrambling to find a new place while moving all my things into storage and finding a safe temporary home for the cats and oh right i’m starting a new job like next week. i really don’t want to have to go through that shitshow again.

last night i walked to the cvs for candy and this dude was on sale so. yeah.

i posted this to twitter but i left him in the living room so around midnight when my brother came home with some of his friends there was a collective ‘what the fuck is thaaat’ and i started cackling like a gremlin

applied for anime boston’s artist alley, which i think is the only con that didn’t ask for a portfolio at all. so i guess it’s not juried but selected at random? or first come first serve. in that case, i sent in my app like 7 minutes after it opened. maybe i stand a chance?

groceries, check. pin design sent, check, first print batch ordered, check. sticker sheets have sorta been set up but i’m wondering if staples has sticker paper. then i could print a small test batch for the con and cut them out myself. which would suck but the other option is get 100 stickers from a printing service that might never sell x.x decisions decisions

for now i’m done with pretending to run a respectable art business, gonna go make soup

every time i see jewelry/ornaments made of d20′s and stuff i think of the box in my closet that had more polyhedral dice than a reasonable person probably needs i should do something with them but i don’t have a drill or anything really useful for jewelry making
