Hello Nick!

I mentioned in your last xxxHolic post that I was particularly inspired by Watanuki’s signature choice that I made a Lino print of it. Here are the results!

As you might be able to tell, past me did not realise that when making a stamp, one needs to make it in *reverse* for the print to print the right way round. So all of these are back to front 🤣🤣🤣

I also didn’t realise in the entire month or so on working on this, that I was just carving the Tsubasa logo either. Past me was a little dense.

All of this was made with a single piece of Linoleum, some black ink and a couple of carving tools, we had an ancient antique press to roll out the papers too, it was a very fun project!

Thank you for stirring up this little piece of nostalgia for me, it’s been a while since I’ve had reason to look at them again!

Here’s a not-very-coherent list of Oxenfurt-related HC’s I have (you can take them or leave them honestly):

Bards generally tend to be noble-born young men with low-to-middling magical talent, usually the pursuit of idle youngest sons of well-to-do families. 

Which basically means Oxenfurt is just a hotbed of stupid horny kids who can sing their way out of trouble

This is why Jaskier hardly bats an eyelid at Yennefer’s orgy-illusions: he’s seen, and lived through, far worse

While Jaskier insists that bards only bless things, this is something of a personal belief: bards can absolutely ruin your day. Aside from magical ability, the key to being a powerful bard is quick-wittedness and that can also mean being mean. 

Politically Oxenfurt isn’t allied with anyone. They’re scholars, and never leave the university for long. Cintra is the only court with a bard in it, and Mousesack is the equivalent of the court sorcerer. 

Shakespeare is the chancellor! I began writing this with a bizarre conviction that Shakespeare somehow existed in this AU, and imagine how powerful he’d be.

Ehhhh I'd read that; there's fanfiction I've been putting off that's longer XD And I'd totally read anything you write-- I mean, one day we should compile all your lengthy tsubasa posts and take a guesstimate at how many words you've put into that project that we're willing to read XD

Oof yes, it's been a bit wild over here. The city majorly flooded two weeks ago, this last weekend was cyclone time for the country, and then there were the earthquakes just yesterday!

Luckily I'm completely fine and there's no need to worry about me. A lot of other people weren't so fortunate, and it looks like it's going to take months (if not years) to repair all the damage, but it all could have been a lot worse too, so there is that.

But thank you for checking in on me!
