Just completed all 31 days of Whumptober, and wanted to say thanks for the hard work you guys put into the event, this year and precious years. Know that this opportunity (to whump our favourite characters with such excellent prompts) is always very much appreciated.
Hi, congratulations on finishing! It is so lovely to hear that you enjoyed it and thank you very much for the kind words!
Happy Halloween and happy whumping!

[Image description: Fanart of the Doctors from Doctor Who. The First Doctor is an old man leaning on his cane, glaring at the camera. The Second Doctor’s skin is cracked with red lines and is shouting at the Third Doctor, who is surrounded by a burgundy bubble of silence. A broken recorder lies between them. The Fourth Doctor is running, his multicolored scarf bleached white, blood stains trailing behind him as he wears through the bottoms of his shoes. The Fifth Doctor is curled in the fetal position and crying, counting on his fingers. The Sixth Doctor is screaming and swinging his arms as he fights an indistinct shadowy mist with a single clawed hand. The Seventh Doctor stands still, hands covering his eyes. The Eighth Doctor is kneeling, hands clasped together and eyes squeezed shut as if in prayer. The War Doctor stands in front of a wall of fire, holding a gun. Behind the wall, wavy, indistinct figures loom. End ID.]
One is glaring... Two is cracking... Three is sneering... Four is bleeding... Five is crying... Six is fighting... Seven is hiding... Eight is praying...
...and a Nameless Self is BURNING.
Fanart of the incredible fanfic series Broken Rules and Consequences by the amazing @redring91!
This is fanart of the terrible nightmare the War Doctor has during the events of the second fic in the series, There Are No Rules in War (Except the First), in which he sees his past selves in various states of distress and fear. I loved the imagery in the dream so much I decided to try drawing them all!
You can see all the posts individually in more detail here.
I really cannot recommend the fic series enough. It’s an incredible canon-compliant retelling of the Doctor’s life, exploring the consequences of interacting with your past and future selves. This fic is the reason I started watching Classic Who, and I keep finding myself coming back to it on rainy days. It is my favorite Doctor Who fanfic of all time, and I think everybody should go read it!
Freaky Friday
The Smitten Kitten by @redring91 Words: 4 013 canonverse animal transformation rec by @helianthus21 Summary: A mishap with an artefact in the bunker transforms Dean into a kitten. Because Sam takes his duty as a younger brother very seriously, he promptly takes Kevin with him to obtain the artefact that will reverse the process – leaving newly human Cas to watch over Dean in their absence. Cas takes care of kitten!Dean, allowing them both some much needed time alone together, with barely any personal space because a cat needs its affection, right? This is a really sweet fic and it’s one I always reread if I need me some fluff. Go read!
You are all SO nice and I am SO scared :’D

Also, I think Lava Lamp’s comment about Sakura is more about that she *can* tell him the truth now that the thing she changed is resolved, not that he thinks she *should*
I would prefer this wording by FAR.
