[vld writer/showrunner voice] but, you see... that’s the Natural Progression Of These Characters’ Journeys... hunk and shay were In Love from day one... and sure allura never had a romantic interest in lance before but! he likes her so She’d Have To Give In Eventually right??? and keith met acxa like, 3 whole entire times in the series, she’s obviously into him ;) nyma is hot and matt is hot so obviously they’d flock together~ see, all these romantic relationships developed organically and naturally! just as adam’s death and shiro’s never-ending suffering is the Natural Progression Of The Serious Plot About War :V :V :V

(also, it’s “not about romance” when it’s random het tax but it’s suddenly all about romance/entitled shippers being upset they “just didn’t get the queer content they wanted” when speaking out against harmful queer tropes. HMMM...)
