Threats From Below

It had been a good month since Bleikrfaxi started her information retrieval operations in the Russian Federation. What she gleaned from external hacks and the infiltration she managed to pull off, however, was... disheartening. No, despite their cultural similarities, this was not an analogue to her precious Yuktobania. If she joined her equivalent mother country, there would be no doubt to her purpose at all, and that was a very, very bad thing.
It was as she wandered southward from the Northern ice, wondering her next move, that the submersible carrier caught a signature on passive sonar. One active sonar ping later and AK-303 grinned; that was a very large and very familiar signature. She had texted ahead on her new ‘phone’ (it seemed more like a supercomputer than a phone to her), and it would appear that her friend had arrived in a perfect intercept position. Figuring that the carrier’s own sonar or that of her escorts would announce her arrival when she surfaced, she didn’t think it necessary to call ahead; they were already expecting her after all.
It was thus that she slowly blew her ballast, a building and hopefully familiar froth of bubbles materializing on the surface.
