For My Evil Dark Lord

A playlist I made for my cousin. A playlist filled with songs and artists that I know she would like if she ever listened to me and took my suggestions. These songs make me think of her every time I listen to them. I picked songs that I think she's never listened to before. This playlist will probably go on for a long time because it goes back a few years. These are songs you should ABSOLUTELY know before you get kicked. These songs aren't ranked or in order because I'm lazy and stomach go ouch.

P.S. I'm gonna have sections of a band and talk about them. Also, I can't add every song here, I'm limited to 10, so I'll just pick the one I want you to listen to the most. I'll list the songs I want you to listen to first and then add my commentary.

He also references a number of experiences that him and his friends had as a child, including "a boy and a girl" who are now "gone, headstones on a lawn," as well as "a boy and a boy" who were "best friends with each other, but always wished they were more." FUCKING GENIUS & BEAUTIFULLY DARK AND REAL! I WISH I WERE HEATHER!!

Even though this song is awesome, it's oddly and sadly unpopular. I think you should absolutely listen to this song. I don't think you'll like this song but what the hell?

Redemption Song by Bob Marley & The Wailers

Probably the most beautiful and important song ever in the history of music. It discussed slavery and African culture and history. The song urges listeners to "Emancipate yourself from mental slavery," because "None but ourselves can free our minds." A perfect BLM song! Also the very last song Mr. Marley did, which makes it even more sad.

MIKAH except she doesn’t consider it mess, she just considers it her unique style of decor lmao. lots of pens and paints and wrappers and coins and knick-knacks and posters and collectables scattered around her room, not an inch of spare space, sometimes you can’t see the floor

there appears to be no rhyme or reason to the disarray but she still somehow knows how to find everything. you ask her if she has a spare hair tie you can borrow and she’s like “ya sure thing there’s one on the floor by the windowsill underneath the sketchbook” and lo and behold she’s right

🐷 - Which of your OCs would have the most messy, cluttered, dirty bedroom or workspace?

Mikah is an absolute wreck who has never heard of “minimalism” in her life, her bedroom and workspace are constantly aclutter (that’s not technically a word but anything is a word if you say it) with worksheets and books and art supplies and empty cups and plants and god knows what. not an inch of spare wall space either, just posters and stickers abound

like, she has a system though, other people come into her room and are like “dude what the fuck how do you find literally anything” but she can find everything just fine. she thinks it’s cosy

Tris gets an honorary mention bc even though he fucking Hates clutter and mess and disorderly…..ness…….. his space has a tendency to end up all cluttery and messy anyway bc mental illness is a nightmare zone

🐭 - Who’s the best at sneaking around and staying unseen out of your OCs?

I’m gonna say either Kai or Jee but both in entirely different ways. honestly I don’t know if Kai counts but I’m gonna talk about them anyway lmao

so Jee is really good at, like, sneaky sneaking, her job relies on her ability to sneak in and out of all kinds of dangerous situations without being noticed, she’s good at sticking to the shadows and dodging cameras and guards and slipping out of sight, got lots of tricks up her sleeve to ensure she remains almost entirely hidden from view, possesses a little magical ability that gives her an edge as well

Kai on the other hand is sneaky in the sense that they can basically just stroll into any situation with enough confidence and pull whatever sneaky shit they like and no one will ever twig that they’re out of place

something will go mysteriously missing from a Phoenix facility and ppl will be like “did you see anything odd? anyone out of the ordinary? are there any signs of a break in?” and everyone is like no but in reality probably like ten people literally witnessed Kai right there in front of them being their usual cheerful charming self while and probably chatted with them for a while and just. didn’t notice. that anything was off

obviously what Kai does is a lot more involved than just strolling casually into places, y’know, it requires a great deal of perceptiveness and pre-planning and quick-thinking and interpersonal skills and the occasional pulling of a fire alarm and sometimes it goes awry 

but at its core it’s just “act like you’re supposed to be there and most people will assume you’re supposed to be there” and Kai has this down to an art form

🦋 - Which of your OCs cares about their appearance the most?

Kit? I honestly think it’s Kit

and everyone assumes he doesn’t care about his appearance in the slightest because he’s, well, a fucking mess, and his fashion sense can be described as “how many clothes can I layer on top of each other before I physically cannot move”

but this is a conscious thing, he has an aesthetic, he has clothes and looks that he likes, this is like multiple dresses at once, leggings, gloves, several jackets of different lengths, beanies, jewellery,, scarves, as many of these things as possible at the same time

he cares about his appearance a LOT, but doesn’t much care what other people think of his appearance

FIRST (the first two lines of my current project):

At 4:15pm, the power shut down. Just like that, a flicker, a click, gone–for the first time in sixteen years.

LAST (the last two lines of my current project):

Fin buried his face in his hands. “Oh God, please watch the tomatoes.”

POV (a scene that’s already happened, retold from another character’s perspective)

(Bleh. Weird out-of-context snippet from the end of chapter one that I can’t be bothered explaining. Kendrick’s POV. Because Kendrick gets maybe three lines screen time in the whole story so like. He can have this one thing.)

Sparks skittered across the concrete like beads of glass. They skipped and danced and Kendrick watched them in the same stunned silence as his friends, watched them chase through the dark, crackle into non-existence. A silence had rolled through the crowd, and anyone who hadn’t been looking at the middle of the circle before was sure as hell looking at it now. The barely-lit flame at their centre curled and writhed, almost convulsing, and then, with a final spluttering of sparks—

—it doubled over and went out.

Denial slammed into Kendrick, a gunshot burst of thoughts one right after another.

Everything is fine.

I’ve done various answers for Mikah and Eda/Ada/however-I-eventually-end-up-deciding-to-spell-it and I know there’s going to be a third main character thrown in the mix there somewhere, so uh... I’m answering for them, I guess.

1. What is their morning routine?

Pfft, what is morning He’s pretty much entirely a night owl, goes to bed at like four AM and wakes up at noon, so, y’know. Morning isn’t really a thing with him. He’s just a lazy shit tbh but it’s not like I can talk because so am I

7. Weapon of choice?

His weapon of choice is his ability to panic so much that whatever he needs a weapon to defend himself against just feels sorry for him and leaves. Nah, I mean, he’s pretty adverse to violence and generally steers clear of situations in which he’d even need a weapon, but if it came down to it, he would not be opposed to a good old-fashioned fistfight.

9. What is their main motivation?

Wants to find a purpose in life, I guess. Has a tendency to get all philosophical and full of existential angst about the meaning of the universe, and all he really wants to do is find his place in the world. Hooray, vague answers. I’m still figuring it out. I only invented him like a day ago.

10. What is their biggest flaw?

Can be pretty damn passive. Just kind of wanders through life doing whatever people tell him to do, is ridiculously easy to sway, and has pretty weak morals. He’s trying to get better at standing his ground, making his own decisions, all that jazz, but like. He’s sure not in a rush.
