How sad.  "Don’t try to play it off.” It had been obvious to anyone looking.  Kalmera scoffed at the other person, ignoring their desire to pretend as if that moment hadn’t just happened.  Her lack of tact certainly came from her mother and not her father. “We all know she just used you for that drink and then moved on.” She waved in the general direction they had seen her disappear in the crowd last.  They weren’t coming back.  As a fairly regular patron of this and many other similar establishments, Kalmera was sure she had seen it before.

“Chase?” Kalmera raised a single eyebrow at him as if she were genuinely surprised by his words.  “I hardly think coincidentally coming to the same bar as you counts as chasing.”  And sitting next to him and flirting with him obviously enough that no one else approached him.

She did her best to glance over her shoulder at the latest arrival to the club without seeming too obvious.  A toned butt, long wavy hair, there was definitely something there.  It had been a boring night thus far, but perhaps this would be the way of livening the night up. She looked back at the person that she had come here with. “If you don’t go over there and talk to her, I will.”  The other had been the first one to see the girl walk in and so Kalmera was willing to concede on dibs, but if they didn’t get up and out of their chair soon, she was going to consider it forfeit.  She grinned, knowing that they would be hard to ignore the idea that she might swoop in.

Sometimes it seemed like the only time she was ever sober was when she had just woken up and even then there had been times where she had gone to bed with enough alcohol in her system to wake up still drunk.  The trouble that she always managed to get herself into had a guardian angel up there putting in overtime.  Thank God she had been able to dial one number that actually picked up.  Standing outside of this dingy nightclub on the wrong side of town this early in the morning was trouble.  Kalmera fell into the passenger seat with a light-hearted giggle.  "Thank you for saving me.  Getting an uber is a nightmare right now!” she smiled at her.

💉 Blood Slave 💉

Blood wasn’t hard for her to come by if she so wanted it, but her friends had insisted that it was simply the thing to do now to have a blood slave.  Not many other vampires could afford it and if it wouldn’t even dent her father’s account, why shouldn’t she have one?  It would be a lot easier than having to seduce a human into offering up a vein.  So she settled in as the auction began, watching as bodies were offered up and sold.  Kalmera had been given a place of honor near center stage in recognition of her status and she had an excellent view of the proceedings, but none of them had yet caught her eye and she was beginning to think the night a waste of her time.

Most girls might have been dissuaded from coming tonight if they were single, but she had spent enough celebrations without a partner than she had hardly even noticed.  “Not a problem at all, mon belle.”  Though the kiss was long over, her hand still remained on the other woman’s waist to hold her close.  It had been a natural reaction to being kissed randomly and yet she wasn’t ready to let go.
