“It’s so cuuute!”
Even after asking Iida to help him out and then being profusely warned of a such a reception, he still hadn’t really expected this from Midoriya. If he didn’t have any restraint he would’ve pulled the other boy into a comforting hug.
With how tightly Midoriya held it to his chest it just… he looked all too… happy. Genuinely happy for the gift. So he wondered what kind of reaction Midoriya would have in after he unveiled his next gift.
“Yeah, you…” Quickly he coughed before restarting that sentence.
“Yeah, it is. But…” He walked over to his wardrobe, pushing past his school clothes, his leather jacket and the limited edition Present Mic jacket to reveal….
Another limited edition Present Mic jacket. Popped collar, sunglasses and fingerless gloves included.
“It uhm… it took me a while to convince Hizashi-Sensei and it co… But! I got this for you too.”
He held out the jacket with a smile, hoping that Midoriya wouldn’t mind.
Oh no. This is actually, honestly, really too much for Izuku to handle. The limited edition jacket that they only made such a small amount of- was this someone else’s or did Present Mic have to rush order one from the factory in his size just because Kamakiri asked?
How much did something like that even cost?
“It’s... It’s not even my b-birthday...” Izuku whimpers, the wetness in his eyes finally dripping down his cheeks in fat tears. Like an emotional integer overflow wrapping around to zero, his feelings have swiftly bypassed overwhelming excitement straight to an inexplicable feeling of guilt.
What has Izuku even done lately to deserve this many nice things? And from Kamakiri specifically? He just can’t accept something like this in good conscience, but rejecting it after all the effort to obtain it would be equally rude, so he finds himself stuck between a faux pas and a hard place.
“L-let me pay you back for the jacket at least...!”
