My kami Samaaaaa!!!
A good reference.
One thing to take note of regarding the standard western translation which this reference lightly touches on. Kami is not God, even though the term Kami Sama is often translated as God. (Also used as an expletive.)
My understanding is that early western explorers to Japan when encountering the term Kami, they did so with closed minds and assumed Kami meant God, or Gods. False Gods by the Early Christian way of thinking, and by modern people who have yet to educate themselves.
So when the early evangelists translated the bible to Japanese they introduced the western concept of the One True God. Kami Sama as the one true Kami, painting all others as false, leading to confusion, and threatened to upend centuries of tradition.
Kami are not supreme beings, Kami are not God, and if the early evangelist had taken the time to understand the concept of Kami they might not have made that translation error, an error that still haunts us to this day.
Omg, i liked it, Honey. TYSM! You know, there aren't many writers who wrire about this anime, so I'm glad you like it too. I don't want to intrude, but can i request feral Tomoe x reader, where events take place 500 years ago any plot, pls
Omg!!!! I’m so glad you liked it!!! I was a little worried I wasn’t to sure how I was going to write it but after awhile I ended up writing it!! Also hon you’re not intruding!! I love that anime so much and requests I just can’t awnser them as fast as I used to because I’ll get burnt out! Anyways I’d love to write this tysm for the request!!!!!
Tw~ Tomoe is kinda cruel to everyone except the reader, honestly toxic relationship because Tomoe isn’t really a great person here he’s like really mean to everyone except the reader… and I once again cannot find the episode with him being feral so…if this is wrong idk😭also reader ends up being pregnant in the end and they have a mention of birth so fem!reader!!
He was a cruel man when he was feral, he had no regard for anyone’s feelings, except your’s. You always seemed to be the exception and he had decided couldn’t live without you.
Sometimes he’d come home late to you wrapped up in a blanket leaning against the wall as you slept and he’d feel guilty knowing you waited till god knows what time for him to come home he’d only wake you a little before helping you back to the room.
Late at night he’d caress your face but never when you were awake, he’d always wonder how he’d managed to get you to fall in love with him.
He’d begrudgingly allow you to drag him along to little places that you loved and he can remember when you’d been pregnant the way you’d gently grab his hand and place it on your belly right where the baby would kick, how you’d smile up at him with the most proud look on your face. He remembers how you smiled so much despite how tired you were after you gave birth to the most precious little baby girl and how happy you were when he held her for the first time and she wrapped her tiny hand around his finger, he realized then that maybe he’d have two exceptions.
Anyways ik I didn’t mention much about the time but oh well also…i don’t really remember how Tomoe behaved when he was feral so this all could be wrong so take it with a grain of salt and if it is wrong…idk😭anyways I lived writing this so let me know if you want to see anything else!!!!

御神米 Goshinmai in Konkokyo.
Resource: 御神米入 | https://okamotoshinki.com
Goshinmai(御神米 "Sacred Kami Rice", "Divine Rice") is an envelope of rice paper with a dozen of consecrated uncooked rice. Tenchi Kane No Kami prayers are performed over the rice. It is then washed with consecrated water and dried under the sun before being left to rest under the moonlight. The next morning, the rice is sprinkled with sacred blessed sake and placed in a small triangular white rice paper envelope.
Rice is a symbol of life and Goshinmai symbolizes the blessings of Tenchi (天地, Universe). Rice is grown because everything in nature works in harmony with each other, including humans. It represents the virtue of Tenchi Kane No Kami and the wish that these blessings are never forgotten.
Goshinmai can be forward by visiting a church and making a donation at the Toritsugi Mediation Desk, but it is also given to believers who ask for a blessing with a sincere heart. Goshinmai is believed to help with illness, recovery from injury, childbirth or difficulties in life.
One who receives Goshinmai can eat it either raw or cooked. The rice can be kept in a special pouch on one's altar, in one's purse, or on the windshield of one's car. All of this reminds us of Kami-sama's blessings and that He is constant presence with us.
The main thing is to take care of Goshinmai and cherish it, remembering Kami-sama's daily blessings.
