A sketch doodle of Kankuro teasing Sakura, I used his design after the Sasori fight. With Sakura giving him Sasori's puppet and she saved him from the poison. Just a cute little doodle for this friendship or ship if you pair them =v= I have a fanfic based on Sakura's friendship with Kankuro throughout the series. First part is Kankuro and Sakura teaming up to retrieve Sasori's puppet from one of his past students, second takes part in the Last with Sakura giving him pieces of Toneri's puppets that she brought for him to examine, and the last is him teaching her how use puppet strings for her to include in her fighting style. =v= Below is a poll if you would like me to share more on this pairing for Sakura. “This is not what I meant when I told you to fall for me," Sakura stares at the fallen body in front of her. After two surgeries and a post-op, she's not quite sure what to think when she watches almost in slow-motion; Kankuro trips on a stray tissue, slides up the ramp before his knee connects with the marble floor, and facepalms quite ungracefully on the hospital floor.

Forget the rest of the surgical staff watching with wide eyes, but the utter silence that fills the entire hallway is reminiscent of the morgue..

"The fact that I injured myself in a hospital and no medic has helped me up says a lot about the Leaf's hospital," Kankuro grumbles against the floor before pushing his dignity to the side and scrambling to his feet.

"No one is helping you because I'm here," she rolls her eyes and waves a chakra-coated hand over his face, "You're just a bit red, nothing is broken."

"Except my pride," he scowls and unseals a bouquet of flowers from the small summoning scroll on his side pocket, "I hope this makes up for my lack of balance."

Sakura smiles and accepts the daises. Emerald eyes glint upwards and she drawls impishly, "I don't know, I quite like you unbalanced."

hi MSH!!! Prompt: "Huh. That wasn't supposed to happen." with Kanuro please!!

I've never written Kankuro, so I hope I did him justice!

Kankuro hated all formal events, and none more so than weddings. He wasn’t at all surprised that his already hot headed sister was a wedding nightmare. Combined with the logistics of planning such an event with two high ranking members of their villages, he was ready for the whole thing to be over.

Thankfully the ceremony was over and the reception was in full swing. Temari was a happy champagne drunk and had finally relaxed a bit, allowing Kankuro to sneak off. His attempts to escape the ballroom, led him down a series of corridors that all looked exactly the same.

When he wandered into the staging area of the caterers someone asked if he needed help, but no self respecting shinobi would admit to being lost, especially not to civilians, so he made an excuse that Temari wanted the next course then turned to leave, walking right into Sakura, and spilling champagne all over her.

“Sorry,” he said, eyes wide in shock.

“Damn it, were you even looking where you were going,” Sakura huffed, more surprised than angry, looking down at the dark spot on gown. She reached to take the napkin he had quickly grabbed from a nearby table, and then looked up. “Oh, Kankuro, I’m sorry. I didn’t realize it was you. What are you doing back here?”

Scratching the back of his head, Kankuro admitted, “I was trying to sneak out without Gaara or Temari seeing me, but I took a wrong turn, or three.”

A small smile danced at the corner of her lips, before the laughter escaped her.

“What’s so funny?”

It took another moment for Sakura to regain control of herself. She wiped the tears from the corner of her eye, without smudging her makeup. “I don’t know. Either that you’re lost, or that you’re hiding from Temari.”

“What about you, why are you back here?”

“Um… Hiding from Naruto.”

Kankuro raised an eyebrow waiting for her to continue.

“Naruto’s already drunk, and he gets really sappy at weddings. I’m not really in the mood to listen to him go on about how Sasuke should come back and marry me. I can’t seem to get it through his head, I don’t want to marry Sasuke.”

Well now that was interesting. And when did Sakura get so close? “Why don’t we get out of here, maybe we can go someplace a little quieter.”

“My place is quiet,” Sakura said, linking her arm with his.

Kankuro’s fingers started forming the seals for a transportation jutsu and a moment later they were both standing in his guest suite, only a few steps from his bed. “Huh, that wasn’t supposed to happen.”
