Steve Irwin was born on the 22nd February 1962 in Victoria, Australia. His parents worked in Wildlife preservation, something that was important in his professional choice. Steve was a biologist and attended Landeborough State School and Calandra Satate High School. In September 2006 he got married to Terri Irwin who is American and worked in animal rehabilitation.
Irwin became famous making films with crocodiles and wild animals, it happened not only because he took care of wild animals but also because he had a particular way of presenting his program. He had an enthusiastic presenting style, a broad Australian Accent and the famous signature “Crikey”, an expression that he used in many situations. Furthermore during this journey he discovered a new turtle species.
On the other hand, he experienced a scandal that the world judged him for. On 2nd January 2004, he fed a 3.6m crocodile with his one-month-old son in his another hand.
Unfortunately, he died in September 2006 in a stingray accident. But his dreams didn’t die with him. Nowadays, his children Bindi Irwin and Robert Clarence Irwin work in wildlife preservation.
