They hate me.
but she’s a WONDER.
Finally free of the slums, who thought he’d ever be up here? Sunlight
kisses his skin and he can’t help but want to take it in. Slate optics
remained shut as he simply basks in the warmth. How different it felt
to feel the sun on his skin like this, above ground. He’s use to the muke
and the grim, use to simply trying to get sunlight through whatever
crevice he can find. Even the skylight, while it was okay, it wasn’t
enough for him. But this. . . this was alright. Optics open and he squints
in the sunlight before looking away. Even around all these people, watching
them train. . . he feels lonely. Most of them all hated him, detested that
that guy with the huge eyebrows had gotten a street rat into their legion,
fuckers seemed damned near offended that Erwin would dare to do such
a thing. Ah, what does he care?
He isn’t here to make any friends, he’s simply here because of a deal he
had struck with Erwin. This was going to be his life, obeying orders and
being ruled under thumb. It bothered him still, having to listen to spineless
assholes who he knew didn’t give two shits. He supposed though it beat the
hell of the Military Police killing him for his crimes. So in a way, he guessed
he owed Erwin something yet at the same time he hates him. There’s a
hatred that possess him and FESTERS. This fucker thought he could just
have that mut of his shove his face into shit probably piss infested water and
walk away? Oh no, he didn’t think so. That asshole was going down but how
to do was still up for questioning. However, he had time. This was simply training,
at least for him. Training to see what division he is suited for although many
have spoken he is to be in the Legion as Erwin said.
He gazes at the sky before head lolls to the side and he is staring off into the
distance, he gazes at it. That large wall that keeps them caged. In a way, he
almost thinks there was no point in wishing for freedom from the shit hole under
ground. Even as he sits above it, he is still caged. The only difference is that
this cage is not small. It is big and there is a door they are allowed to go out of
----- if they want to be eaten. He’s only heard of those mongrels who roam beyond
the walls but he’s not ever seen them. He’s heard tales of the large beasts with
jaws that can cut into anything, they are mindless and they will eat any human
within their sights. If he did do as Erwin said, and become apart of the Legion
would he finally see those titans?
Thoughts are cut off as a loud voice comes into his mind. He finally looks away
from the wall and stares at the person who leans a bit to close to him. Who was
this again? He’s only seen them very little. . . Zoe? He says nothing, facial
expression is still the same. He looks bored but it’s their words that throw him
off. They. . . were praising him? He is actually in shock yet now he’s curious. No
one, not one person was kind to him. They all gave him dirty looks, often sneering
in his direction. Words were harsh and he would always spit back with the same
bite yet this person had such a cheerful smile on their face and they were actually
praising him for his skills? He is dumbfounded on what to say to the point where
his mouth parts and he wishes to say something but words fail him. Instead he
closes his mouth and looks away.
