An idol to many, a warrior on-field, a man who has contributed a lot for India. A leader, who has always believed that India will win its first-ever world cup in 83. He is a leader who motivated his player friends that we can do it! Everyone lost their hopes in the world cup thinking "how will India win the world cup?" But Kapil Paaji had that confidence that India will win It. And he did it! He won it for India. He did it. Not only him even the rest of the players did. When every Indian thought that India won't win it, there was one man, Kapil dev who stood up and said "Hum Kar Sakte hai" ~ "We can do it!" That belief, that confidence is what we needed that time. Or else we wouldn't have won what we did. We made history in 83. Not only beating in West Indies was, but also winning in lords, proving to everyone that we won the world cup man! We are World Champions!

The 175* not out is still in my mind, I can still remember it. Those beautiful innings made us win. Also not to forget his remarkable and unforgettable catch in the finals. When Madan Lal bowled it to Sir Vivian Richards and hit a shot at the cover on the air and Kapil paaji went on to catch it. That moment, when he caught it, everyone knew that 'India won the World Cup'.

Love you Paaji, You have inspired a lot of young children. You will always be a hero, a leader who believed in himself as well as in his squad. thank you, sir love you a lot.
