I initially created this blog to upload scans of all the letters and notes I’ve kept so far in my life. I’m a very sentimental person, so it just works like that for me.
I feel distraught knowing that I can’t take every little piece of paper everywhere, but I figure if I upload them to both my email and to my blog, then it’ll be like carrying all of it with me.
I think I’ll be funny too and use the hashtag of my own name. Just so my blog is easy to find for those curious enough.

Here’s the first one I really love. This was a photo my dad and I took together. I was 15. When I look at this photo ten years later, I really feel shocked by how old I look in it. I definitely wanted to look older back then, because I couldn’t fit in very easily with others. So makeup was a bit of a mask for me, at the time. It’s shameful to think of such, but that’s how it was back then. I was having a crisis during this time, I wanted to fit in, but I also wanted to be the sweet nerdy kid I was. A year after this photo, I got a buzz cut.
My dad is my champion, my hero. Not because he’s very strong or anything like that. But because he is very, very kind and thoughtful. I was raised to think about myself and my life, to be introspective. Not to adopt an overthinking mind, but to be aware of my place in the world, or what I want it to be. To be able to stand on my own two feet, regardless of others’ perspectives.
I love you dad!
