Tapu Koko
Tapu Koko Nicknames:
Jump Spark As an electric type, we couldn’t help but make the pun. Tapu Koko can be seen hopping along through battles, both literally and figuratively, by using moves such as Volt Switch and U-turn. A jump spark literally refers to the leaping of electricity across an open space.
Nympulse / Thunderhead In its Pokedex entry, Tapu Koko is described as an impulsive, fairy type Pokemon. A ‘nymph’ is another word for a fairy, and the ‘impulse’ refers both to an electric impulse, as well as the urge to do something without forethought. The alternate nickname in “Thunderhead” is ironically smart; in that, it was inspired by the word dunderhead, as well as the yellow, lightning bolt pattern found on top of its head plume.
Overshock It speaks of electric power—which is fitting, thanks to its Electric Surge ability. It is a suitable nickname, worth considering, and it also sounds badass!
Tapu Koko Facts:
It is the guardian deity of Melemele Island and is known to be very curious. Tapu Koko can summon thunderclouds and store their electricity deep within its body.
It can move faster than the eye can follow, and it has a very bad temper. It easily forgets what made it angry, and isn’t always keen on helping others.
