Her blue eyes are stunning and could lure in almost any man, some have even mistaken her for a vampire for her ravishing beauty. Her hair is blonde, though Karia has kept it short in the past during a hunt, prefers it long. The shortness of the locks tends to be because she does not wish to be caught off guard by a Vampire snatching her up by gripping her hair. It shows signs of weakness in which she will not allow the undead to see in her.
Most often when it comes to the board room, Karia will be dressed in black business pant suits and black high heels. However once the workday ends, in the closet of the office the formal attire goes, and on she puts her black jeans, black form fitting tops, a pair of black Nike's or soft soled moccasins and her black suede jacket with fringes on it a remnant of her teenage years from when her grandmother was still alive and bought her whatever she wanted at the time.
Karia is a tenacious, cold hard woman to get to know on a personal and board room level. It is as if she almost seems heartless. Very few people know much about her at her job. If she does reveal the slightest bit of information it is to different people. All of her employees have signed Confidentiality agreements while still working with her father, so they are prohibited from talking about her even amongst themselves or they know that Karia will not hesitate to sue them for slander.
So many have tried to penetrate through the barriers she has built over the years, but she will not allow them to break down the wall she has built to secure her safety as well as others. The problem is, no one knows that she keeps others out to protect them from getting hurt by what she does for a living. Inside she cries for the want and need of other human contact, but it is alone that she must deal with it. Weighted down from her past, the CEO feels as though all that has happened is all her fault. But this has made her more determined than ever to find the Kane and his coven. Vengeance consumes her daily life, and will forever more.
At the young age of 10, Karia's father Robin had to reveal to his daughter the truth of what he did at night and why he was never home. The only reason that he had to tell her was because that her mother had been killed in retribution for his cause to hunt and kill Vampires. Little did he realize that he couldn't protect his own wife. The Vampires came to their home one evening and sucked the blood from his wife until there was not one drop left in her rotting corpse.
Upon hearing the incredulous story her father divulged to her, Karia was determined to deny the story and forget it ever happened. Thinking her father insane until another tragedy had almost befallen them. Waking in but a dream state, the young girl noticed a shadow in her room late one night, but merely she turned over thinking it was her father checking up on her. Suddenly she'd woken up to a commotion of her father fighting with, and stabbing a man in the chest with a wooden stake. By what she had seen in movies and television shows, Karia knew Robin's stories to be true.
During the next 7 years of her life they trained heavily after school so she could learn to hunt along with him. His main concern in the beginning was so that she could protect herself while he was out hunting and she was at home. But it turned out in the end that she was insistent about traveling with him during summer vacations. Upon graduating high school at the age of 17, she decided to put off college and go off with her father to hunt down the vampire who had killed her mother.
She came to find out during their hunt across the United States that the vampire's name was Kane. He was the head of the nest they were hunting. Their trek seemed endless until they found them in a small town in Ireland. It was during a battle in which the nest was attempting to feed on a family consisting of 6 children and their parents that Karia killed Kane's favored female. In a sense she had felt vindicated for her mother's death because she had taken away Kane's treasured one.
However her vindication was short lived. The very next evening while in yet another battle, Kane took hold of Robin and bit him while Karia watched in horror as he turned her father into what they hunted. Kane and his followers left them near an abandoned farmhouse close to sunrise. In the heat of the moment Karia dragged her unconscious father to the house's basement, found chains, chained him up and left him down there during the day knowing that he would sleep. Try as she might that day, she could not drive the stake through his heart.
That first evening upon Robin awakening, his lust for blood was evident. He called out for Karia knowing it was her blood he smelled. He begged for his release, tried reasoning with her, but she proved to be smarter than that. Though that evening proved difficult for her as well as she tried desperately to sway him telling him what was happening to him was wrong and he should fight it with all of his heart. Karia knew it was fruitless, but attempted it anyway because this was her father.
On through the second evening, she listened to his screams, but attempted to sleep through them. The young vampire hunter had not noticed that her father had grown silent and went into a deeper sleep. Ripped from her slumber by tender caresses on her cheek, she found Kane standing above her whispering to her like a lover. "He will be happy without you now, my sweet." Kane was playing his game. His voice was soft as he was lulling her into his trap. [i]"I made him one of us to torture you. I know you realize this. I have your father now you will never stop hunting us. By killing me little one, you will forever lose Robin, for you will never find him."
After all he had said to her, Karia was lulled back into her deep sleep. Upon awakening, she was alone in the farmhouse; the chains were on the floor beside her as if taunting her to come find them. Because of his condition, she had to file a missing person's report so he would be able to be declared legally dead. Regretting not killing her father when he first turned, Karia followed Kane and his coven for almost a year all over Europe putting off college in the sheer hope she could kill her father and put him out of his misery and finally lay him to rest. To no avail, Kane kept Robin well hidden. He knew his female adversary all too well and wanted to emotionally torment her.
Upon returning to Chicago, Karia attended Northwestern University and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Folklore. Robin was on the 'Missing Persons' list until Karia was able to have him declared legally dead 3 years ago. At the age of 27, Karia took over Folk Enterprises as the CEO and has been running it ever since. Now it is up to her to run the company while she hunts the man who she once called 'Dad' and put him out of his misery; for he would not have wanted to live this way.
