An jeder Ecke gibt es in Cozumel Palmen. Ob am Hafen in der Stadt oder am Strand. Überall kann man die tollen Palmen sehen. Hier bei mir in Stuttgart wird es nun immer kälter. Im Zusammenhang mit unserer Kreuzfahrt konnten wir mit dem Bobbycar durch Cozumel fahren! Cozumel ist eine mexikanische Insel im Karibischen Meer, die gern von Kreuzfahrtschiffen angelaufen wird. Sie ist die größte bewohnte Insel Mexikos und der östlichen Küste von Yucatán vorgelagert. Bis zum Festlandshafen Playa del Carmen sind es knapp 16 Kilometer. Hauptstadt ist San Miguel de Cozumel mit ca. 90.000 Einwohnern. Vorab buchten wir den Aida Ausflug „Mit dem Bobbycar über die Insel“. Nach einem Rundgang im Hafen wurden wir zu unseren kleinen Bobbycars gebracht. Um den Ausflug buchen zu können, muss einer von zwei Teilnehmern einen Führerschein und das Mindestalter von 21 Jahren erreicht haben. Auch für ausreichende zivilisierte Toiletten ist bei den Dunns River Falls gesorgt. Auch wenn man nicht vermutet das die sich in so einem kleinen karibischen Häuschen befinden. Ich dachte als erstes das in dem Haus Souveniers verkauft werden. 😅 There are also adequate civilized toilets at the Dunns River Falls. Even if you do not suspect that are in such a small Caribbean cottage. Unser Tag in Ocho Rios begann morgens um 7 Uhr mit einem starken Unwetter und Platzregen! Wir sahen unsere Pläne für diesen Tag förmlich ins Wasser fallen. Doch für alle die es nicht wissen. Ein Unwetter in der Karibik geht genauso schnell wieder, wie es gekommen ist. Eine Stunde später pünktlich zum Landgang hatten sich die Wolken verzogen und die Sonne strahlte uns mit 28 crad ins Gesicht! Nach dem sensationellen Frühstücksbuffet der Aida-Luna ging es voller Tatendrang für uns an Land. Our day in Ocho Rios started at 7 o'clock in the morning with a strong thunderstorm and heavy rain! We literally saw our plans for the day falling into the water. But for all who do not know. A storm in the Caribbean is just as fast as it has come. An hour later, punctually to the shore, the clouds had cleared and the sun shone in our face with 28 crad! Jamaika ist die drittgrößte Insel der Karibik. Sie liegt südlich von Kuba und westlich der Insel Hispaniola, die sich Haiti und die Dominikanische Republik teilen. Die Hauptstadt der Insel ist Kingston an der Südküste. Der Blue Mountain ist mit 2.256 Metern der höchste Gipfel der gebirgigen Insel. Raggae, Rum, Rastas und rauschende Wasserfälle – so lässt sich der Tag entspannt oder voller Aktion genießen!  Hier im Norden Jamaikas, im kleinen Ort Nine Mile, wurde der legendäre Musiker Bob Marley geboren.
