At first I like the episode, but growing up you realize how bad it was. The writing was like bad fix-it fanfiction. Bunch of continuity errors and cringey acting.
Okay so, I'm looking for a fic it's a few years old. It's a Supergirl and flash crossover, with Barry and Kara in a romantic relationship. I know it starts with the DEO trying to kill Superman and Supergirl and Clark takes Kara to Barry on Earth 1 to help her and she decides to stay there. Kara becomes Superwoman of Earth 1 and Alex and Eliza move to Earth 1 as well. I believe its a Alex/Nyssa fic as well. If anyone has a link, please send it to me. I want to re-read this fic so bad.
Karry is the cleric grandma of the group who’s equally caring, drunk, tragic, and angry. You didn’t want to her make her angry haha. More info under the cut if you wanna read up more on their relationship!

Raum has mixed feelings about Karry. Karry would often break down crying/shaking whenever she was confronted with a horrific scene that would remind her of the tragedies of the past (she’d then also often drown her misery by getting drunk). This would annoy Raum greatly, perceiving these PTSD episodes as weakness and melodrama. However, Karry was the one who showed her those every day kindnesses that reminded Raum of days that she thought were long forgotten (they are forgotten, they have to be forgotten). Kindness without expecting payment--Raum was not used to that. In fact, she actively refused to get accustomed to it. Deep down, Raum never believed she was worthy of unconditional affection. Everybody always wanted something.
(But she also couldn’t help but hope--)
Raum eventually learned the Summon Greater Demon spell. After her humiliation against the necromancer, she realised that she could greatly benefit with having a powerful underling that she could command around. She didn’t care if, to summon one at all, a blood sacrifice would have to be made each time. It was a price she was willing to make others pay.
When she recruited Karry’s aid, she hid that fact from her. She instead said it was for the sake of the group, for their protection as well, not just hers. While certainly Raum would use the demon to protect herself and by extension, her party, she was surprisingly hurt to see how reluctant Karry was to help her until she mentioned the group. It reaffirmed her belief that she wasn’t a part of it, not really--she was the outsider.
Unknowing to Raum, Karry was in a dark mood that didn’t involve her. She was reliving the tragedy of her past and was grieving when Raum approached her. Even if Karry didn’t mean to be so harsh with her, Raum took it at face value.
Anyway, even as Raum refused to believe Karry’s affection to be genuine, Karry did see her as family. In fact, Karry would go so far as to attack an angel--a powerful one, a Solar--when it had attacked Raum, despite Karry’s own religious beliefs. It was just a shame that Raum was too out of her mind to recognise how selflessly Karry would sacrifice herself for her sake--even if Raum was in the wrong. If she did, perhaps she could have recognised it finally--that her love was unconditional.
