ROUND 1 — Match 129 of 138
Kasane Fuchi (Kasane)
Problematic because: "Where do I start. Well first I should explain that Kasane can temporarily switch the faces of her and another person with a lipstick and a kiss and also that shes an actress, onto the three deaths! Those are a good start! The kid that bullied her when she was in elementary school (though this was an accident so not on her, lets ignore her holding her to knife point before hand). Nina, dear Nina, who I should also submit because shes such a mess. After she got hit by a longer episode of hypersomnia (cause of the Kleine–Levin syndrome she suffers from) and woke up to Kasane having become truly popular with her name and face she starts losing it and then jumps of the roof but don’t worry! She survives and is now only able to communicate through finger movements! So at one point Kasanes younger half sister finds out all about that (i’m not explaining nogiku here this will be long enough) she helps Nina to kill herself so that Kasane can’t keep living as her (her as in her name and face not in her personality lol). Now onto Ninas mom, Tsugumi. So while Nina has tried to kill herself (roof top jump not the one time it succeeded) Kasane has to keep up appearances with her parents and when Tsugumi gets suspicious Kasanr starts gaslighting both of her parents until she drives Tsugumi to the point of near insanity and makes her husband believe she has lost her mind! Which concludes in Tsugumi switching their faces permanently and then killing herself to get true revenge on her." Propaganda: "I love her some much! She been played a truly horrible hand in life. She’s expected to be a monster (considering her looks and the myth her names from) and when she plays it truly plays the role society forces onto her she gets punished by it (thats what monsters get after all) but when she doesn’t, when she does everything right she also gets punished! Theres no reward for her no way to be happy and when she’s finally able to accept herself to live, to truly live as herself it gets ripped away. But not the way she expected, she was okay and at peace with Tsugumi killing her for what she did to Nina but then Tsugumi stole her face and killed herself instead of Kasane! So she lives the rest of her life (cause she doesn’t want to die! she wants to live!) constantly with the reminder of what shes done! What was taken from her what living up to who one should be robbed her and the memories of those glimpses of what could have been from those moments where she truly lived as herself!!!!"
vs. Jeremiah Valeska (Gotham)
Problematic because: "After Jerome exposes him to a modified laughing toxin, Jeremiah becomes obsessed with Bruce Wayne as his “necessary opposite,” turns Ecco into his devoted accomplice, uses Jerome’s followers for his own plans, and starts treating Gotham like a design project he gets to destroy and rebuild. He blows up Wayne Manor, shoots Selina in the spine to hurt Bruce, helps keep Gotham trapped in No Man’s Land chaos, and in Ace Chemicals kidnaps Alfred and uses hypnotised Thomas and Martha lookalikes to force Bruce to relive his parents’ murders. Later, after ten years of pretending to be brain-dead in Arkham, he reappears, kills Ecco once she’s no longer useful, kidnaps Barbara Lee, and tries to lure Bruce back into their unfinished little nightmare. He’s less loud than Jerome, but that doesn’t make him less awful." Propaganda: 1. "He’s such a different flavour of Valeska. Jerome is all sparks and gasoline, while Jeremiah is the one who actually sits down, calculates the blast radius, and makes sure Bruce is watching from the correct emotional angle. I like that about him. He’s colder, stranger, more controlled, and much more personally fixated on Bruce as this figure he needs to shape himself around. The Ace Chemicals stuff is why he works for me. It’s not enough for him to kill people or threaten Gotham. He wants to recreate Bruce’s worst trauma with fake parents and stage direction, because in his mind that’s intimacy. He doesn’t just want Bruce dead, he wants Bruce connected to him forever. That’s horrible, but as a Batman villain concept, it’s strong. He’s not as instantly fun as Jerome, but he’s creepier in a more deliberate way." 2. "he’s so unnerving because he’s calm about everything. blowing up wayne manor? part of the plan. hurting selina to get to bruce? part of the plan. recreating bruce’s parents’ murder with lookalikes? unfortunately also part of the plan"
Who should advance?
Kasane Fuchi
Jeremiah Valeska
