Kashima/Kamo headcanons, please?
yes! And summer break hc’s because you didn’t have a specific request!
Summer for Kashima and Kamo means they get to spend basically all of their time together….with Kashima’s little brother.
Which, they don’t really mind too much, because 99% of the stuff they do is little brother friendly. Kashima just feels bad leaving him home alone during the summer when he knows that it wouldn’t be that big of a deal to bring him along (especially if they’re just doing something like watching a movie, catching crayfish, or going to the beach)
the best thing about summer is that its so hot, and Kamo’s energy for pranks get drained much easier, especially when Kashima is too hot to react “properly”
the worst thing about summer is that its so hot, and Kamo still enjoys being cuddly and sitting way too close even when they’re both incredibly sweaty.
On the first day of summer break, they got in trouble with Kamo’s mother because they were spitting watermelon seeds off the back porch, left them scattered in the grass, and a bunch of birds flooded the backyard by the end of the day. They did get a watermelon plant out of it a few weeks later when one of the seeds the birds missed took root.
Kamo really just seems like the kind of guy who would put an ice cube down Kashima’s pants when he is off guard.
Summer is really the season that Kashima lets Kamo talk him into the most shenanigans. He’s just too hot to give too much thought to anything but the most hair-brained schemes
They broke a blender at Kashima’s house because Kamo wanted snow cones, Kashima didn’t want to go outside, and they thought that maybe. Maybe, a blender could be used to crush ice. Kashimom came home to the smell of burnt gears and a small puddle of melted ice water on the floor.
Kamo steals his older sister’s cutesy ponytail holders to share with Kashima because strawberry scrunchy in his boyfriend’s wavy hair? Adorable.
Of the pair of them, Kashima burns the easiest, so he doesn’t mind when Kamo covers him in sand at the beach. He only pretends to be inconvenienced, when really, he gets to take a five minute nap in the shade while Kamo pats him down from neck to toe to pack down all that sand.
They’ve spent every summer together since middle school, so theres nothing really new they can do together until they can afford going on a proper vacation. But that doesn’t stop them from enjoying every moment of relaxation with the other. They could just be laying on the floor, kicking each other in the side, and they would still enjoy the small moments spent together.

who’s the cuddler: Kamo. He clings like a koala to any part of Kashima’s body he can reach.
who makes the bed: Kashima. But mostly he just rolls Kamo up in the blankets so he can’t get away or escape
who wakes up first: Kamo. And he wakes Kashima up to be with him five minutes later.
who has the weird taste in music: Kamo. Kashima doesn’t ever know what his little boyfriend is listening to.
who is more protective: Kashima. Kamo may be a pain in the ass, but he’s HIS pain in the ass, and he will protect him from everything to the best of his abilities.
who sings in the shower: Kamo. So. Noisy.
who cries during movies: Kamo, its better when he has Kashima to cuddle up to.
who spends the most while out shopping:Kamo. So much stupid joke toys.
who kisses more roughly: they’re both pretty gentle, but Kamo pulls hair if he gets excited.
who is more dominate: Kashima. But Kamo could still make him do anything.

1. - How do they fall asleep? Wake up? Any daily rituals?
Their only ritual is that Kashima always goes to bed first, because that’s the only way he can fall asleep when he has to share a bed with Kamo. When he wakes up, somehow Kamo has weaseled under his arm and is making his other arm fall asleep. Kamo’s big on cuddling, even if its not super comfortable for his big boyfriend. As a result, Kashima never worries about waking Kamo up in the morning because he doubts Kamo went to bed at a responsible time anyway.
12. Is there a wedding? What was the proposal like? Any kind of honeymoon?
Kashima is the one to try and propose. Key word try, because he really wanted to surprise Kamo (since Kamo is always the one surprising him). But, Kamo somehow finds out, and he gets really antsy waiting for it, and eventually spills the beans and confesses he knows before Kashima even gets the chance. They do have a small wedding (thats mostly for their moms), but its short and quick because Kamo is just ready to get married after knowing about the proposal. And their honey moon is wherever they feel like going when they decide to finally head out. They didn’t really plan one, and just took a road trip that led them wherever they got a whim to go to.
23. - How do they hug? Kiss? Tease? Flirt? Comfort?
Much of their PDA is led by Kamo, because he’s always been the more affectionate out of the pair of them. But Kashima has gotten in the habit of never telling him no, because if Kamo is feeling cuddly, he usually has the purest intentions and just wants to be close to him. We all know that Kamo is the teasing and flirting one too, he’s been doing his own version of flirting since middle school. Kashima’s usually on the comfort end of things. If Kamo’s upset, he wants to find out why and solve it immediately. His cute little man has 0 reason to look that sad.
38. What are they like in the bedroom? Any kinks/fetishes/turn-ons? Anything they won’t do?
They’re so embarrassingly vanilla in the bedroom. It’s mostly because Kashima isn’t very creative, and only knows / wants to do things in the ‘traditional’ way.He’d probably say yes to Kamo suggesting something a bit more creative, but it takes Kamo a little while to do that because man its weird asking your best friend to do something kinky, even if you are dating now. They’re still exploring that side of their relationship, and Kashima’s OK if Kamo takes a while to share that side of himself.
39. - Who initiated the relationship? Who kissed who first? When did they realize they were in love?
Kamo’s known he was in love for a while. He’s probably the leader and initiator in all their firsts. He really wants to start dating, and to get Kashima to recognize him in a romantic way, but he’s also nervous because. he doesn’t want. to lose their friendship. But, eventually he figures they’re close enough that it couldn’t hurt to try, and if Kashima turns him down, it’ll be okay because they’re best friends, and they’ll get through it. But he couldn’t stand not knowing what would happen if he never took that shot.

Who is the big spoon/little spoon? - It would make sense for Kashima to be the big spoon, because he is significantly bigger than Kamo. But jesus, Kamo is a little barnacle sometimes, and just sticks to his back like glue. Kamo just kind of fits where he fits, and often thats against Kashima’s back. Kashima is the big spoon sometimes, but Kamo just wiggles too much to hold on to all night.
What is their favourite non-sexual activity? - Watch movies or play games. Kashima usually falls asleep when watching TV or movies for too long, but Kamo is OK with it because Kashima falls asleep while holding him. If he gets bored, he just wakes Kashima up and makes him play a game with him.
Who uses all the hot water? - Kashima does it sometimes. But he usually does it deliberately to stick it to Kamo for a prank he pulled.
What is the most trivial thing they fight over? - One of Kamo’s pranks that went too far probably. Especially if it involved Kashima sitting on something or Kamo putting something into Kashima’s drink. It doesn’t bother him on a good day, but he snaps at Kamo when he’s tired.
Who does most of the cleaning? - Kashima. He usually just cleans as he goes, rather than having a big cleaning day. Kamo waits until their house really needs a clean to do anything, because Kashima does alot of the trivial stuff to keep everything lookin neat.
What has a season pass in their DVR? - Some sitcom that Kamo likes, or a show on the comedy channel.
Who controls the Netflix queue? - Kamo, because Kashima doesn’t care. He usually falls asleep when they’re watching a netflix series anyway, and snores until Kamo pokes him awake.
Who calls up the super when the heat’s not working? - Kashima usually, because Kamo can’t explain whats wrong. Kashima can be a bit more forceful usually too, and get things done faster whereas Kamo always politely says its ok and not to rush.
Who steals the blankets? - Kamo tries, but if he tugs too hard on the blanket, Kashima yanks it away and wraps it around himself.
Who leaves their stuff around? - Kamo. Kashima just leaves his stuff where it lays too, because it will get lost if anyone but Kamo tries to move it.
Who remembers to buy the milk? - Kashima usually, if its a normal grocery day. However, if Kamo knows he’s about to run out right before he pours himself some cereal, he will go out and get some right away, without getting anything else they need. He’s a very directed shopper, and always wastes money by buying things at the convenience store rather than the grocery store.
Who remembers anniversaries? - Kashima, because he actually writes them down on the calendar each year when they switch to a new one. He never makes Kamo feel bad for forgetting, and he always tries to make the day special. Quiet, but special, so he can have Kamo all to himself.
TALK TO ME ABOUT KASHIKAMO AND HOW KASHI LOW KEY USED TO LOOK OUT FOR HIS LIL DUDE WHEN THEY WERE IN MIDDLE SCHOOL AND THE FIRST TIME KAMO SEES KASHIMAS DARK SIDE
Kashima has always been a very intimidating presence to other people. He’s a big guy, with a forever stern/grumpy resting face. But of course, that stern, cold looking guy is only around when Kamo isn’t watching. Kamo runs at 100 miles per minute, always has, probably always will. He often gets caught up in what he’s doing, and while he’s glad Kashima is right there with him, he isn’t always watching Kashima as closely as Kashima is watching him.
As a kid, Kamo tended to act before he thought, so, he was more prone to get into trouble. But did he ever really end up hurt or in a bad situation? Nah, of course not, because Kashima was always right there to grab the back of his shirt and pull him back when he was going a little bit too far. Kamo never really noticed it, and went right on with whatever he was doing (albeit he’s a bit safer than what he was doing before). Everyone else thought Kamo was just really lucky, never getting into trouble like he should’ve been. But it was really just Kashima holding him back or stepping in when Kamo got two steps ahead of himself.
Kashima is normally very level headed. And sometimes, that’s a benefit when your best friend is someone like Kamo. But, Kashima can get heated too, angrily protective even, just like any other teenage boy. Kamo didn’t really know about this side of his friend until middle school. They started playing rugby together, just as something to do to keep them away from home for longer, and it was good at first. But with heart rate accelerated and blood flowing, its alot easier for Kashima to cut loose, especially when he notices someone from another team intentionally targeting Kamo because he’s the smallest one on the field and easy to pick off. Of course, Kashima could never let something like that stand, just like the guy who was picking on Kamo wasn’t left standing (and probably had a broken nose) after a pretty intense tackle by Kashima on the next play. Kamo wouldn’t exactly call Kashima’s intense protectiveness his “dark side”, but Kamo always feels a little braver when taunting the other team knowing that Kashima will never ever let it go when someone is picking on his best boyfriend or any of his teammates.
One of the biggest misconceptions people can have about Kashima is that he’s a naturally reserved, quiet guy. He doesn’t talk much in groups, so he must not talk much at all, is what most people think of him. But what they fail to take into account is that Kashima only seems quiet when Kamo is around. On the rare occasion that they’re apart, he talks quite easily, and has alot to say on alot of different subjects. He even gets heated or excited about many things, which surprises almost everyone because they all think he’s this stoic man of very few words. Its really just when he’s around Kamo though, because he’s always thought Kamo was much more interesting to watch and listen to than he. And, Kamo is fine with taking the spotlight, so Kashima happily lets him, much preferring to watch and listen to his best friend than draw attention to himself.
