KashmirBox.com awarded “Best e-Commerce Start-up in India”
KashmirBox.com has been awarded as the best e-commerce start-up in a contest-eSparks 201 held in Banglore in which around 360 startups from across India participated. Out of total contestants, 12 starts ups were shortlisted to showcase their business. Founder Directors Kashif A Khan and Muheet Mehraj represented Kashmir Box in the event which was awarded “Hottest e-commerce startup in India for the year 2013” and “Peoples’ Choice award for the best e-commerce business model”.
“We had an overwhelming response both from the industry and the venture capitalists. This has reaffirmed our resolve that the model we have been tirelessly working on for the last one year is bang on target and well accepted,” Kashif said. Another Founder Director Muheet Mehraj said Kashmir Box stole the show during the contest. “We are very happy with this outcome. We have been approached by almost everybody in the investor circles,” Muheet Mehraj said. Kashmir Box is being incubated by Kashmir Business Factory, headed by Ishfaq Mir. It is the only business incubator in the state of J&K that focuses on socio-economic development by giving a thrust to entrepreneurship based ventures.
