Prompt: “So what now?” “I have no idea, I thought that would kill us”
Characters: Igor, Kaspars, Charles
Ships: N/a
Kaspars quickly ran down the dark corridor as he tried to keep from being dragged by Charles. His feet struggled to keep from tripping him due to his pajama pants. He panted as he struggled to process everything that was happening.
He thought it was all a dream when Charles barged into his room, but he had quickly figured out it wasn’t. They skidded to a stop at the end of the hall as they faced the wall with no other hall to run down. Kaspars could hear Igor’s rushed movements quickly catching up to them.
He nervously chuckled, “So…uhm…what’s the plan? What do we do now?”
Kaspars stiffened as Charles shrugged, “I was kind of winging it. I thought I was a dead man the moment I broke in…Then I got you and figured he’d catch us before we got far enough…I honestly thought we’d be dead by now…”
His heart raced as he growled, “You broke into Igor’s home without a plan?! You idiot! He’s going to murder us and send your uncle our heads in a satin-lined box!”
To his annoyance, Charles chuckled as he looked around and murmured, “A satin-lined box? You’ve thought about this a bit huh? Can’t you just be grateful for me trying to break you out?”
Kaspars groaned as he panicked, “No! He’s going to kill us! I was set! It sucked, but he wasn’t going to just up and kill me! I’m a dead man! He’s going to find out I gave your family information and he’s going to torture and kill me! No, he’ll keep me alive until he’s satisfied with tor-”
“Shut up! God, you need to chill. I’m not going to let him kill us. Come on, we can jump. The fall might hurt, but I doubt it would kill us. My uncle is probably three roads down collecting from his people right now. If we can catch him before Igor gets us, then we can get away with him. He just fixed the mustang.”
Kaspars gulped, he hated heights, but he wanted to keep his limbs. He closed his eyes tightly before jumping out the window praying he wouldn’t break anything important to escape.
Anja smiled as she looked at herself in the mirror, it had been a long time since she saw herself as Anja rather than as Haylee. She hated the dull hair and eyes she had to hide her inherited traits, but now her bright blue eyes shone while her cotton candy blue hair lined with pink streaks set on her shoulders. She smiled at herself, it was good to look like herself again. Anja took in her look once more before walking to Kaspars room and gently knocking on the door. Her hands shook gently as she ran through her plan. She smiled nervously as Kaspars opened the door smiling with her.
Before she could say anything Kaspars held out a dozen white roses smirking as he said, “Happy Valentine’s Day!”
Anja’s smile dropped as she shoved Kaspars yelling, “No fair! I planned a whole surprise for you!”
Kaspars smiled brightly as he said, “We can do that as well, I just wanted to make sure you had flowers.”
Anja rolled her eyes but smiled as she gently pulled him down to kiss him.
