As politically aware as I try to be, I wasn't aware that all the T-JAGs ("The" Judge Advocates General) were fired. Those are the guys who review military orders for legality before they're sent to the troops, which allows troops to think quickly before acting because someone else has minded the legality of an order (especially since troops are quite literally trained to act first and ask questions later).
Suddenly that dem video reiterating that troops can deny unlawful orders makes much more sense.
And I hate that I only looked this up because of an episode of South Park.
I think this is what they mean when they say that Satire is one of the most important ways to battle authoritarianism and would-be dictatorships.
I don't see eye to eye with Senator Mark Kelly, but this was rather important and not just a stunt. He legitimately cares about the troops.
Mon Mothma, Padmé, and their Jedi security detail for the day (none other than my beloved OC, Tara)
You can’t convince me these two didn’t spend time planning Palps’ demise 🥰 Detail shots below the cut!
ADVOCATES IN CONGRESS HAVE THREATENED TO NOT VOTE FOR ANY SPENDING BILLS UNLESS KOSA IS INCLUDED
While the Continuing Resolutions does not include KOSA, advocates for the bill are still pushing VERY HARD to add it to the package of bills, even going as far as to not vote for disaster relief bills if KOSA is not added to the package of bills.
WE HAVE TO CALL AND MAKE OUR VOICES HEARD. Below are the posts for contact info and call tools to call, email, and fax both representatives and senators to tell them to say NO to KOSA, it's important to keep up the pressure.
STOP KOSA (SENATE VERSION)
STOP KOSA (HOUSE VERSION)
