Discworld Aesthetic: Going Postal
I did a re-read of this while on a long plane ride the other day. It’s definitely one of my favorite Discworld books outside of the Watch series and I hope to read the rest of the Moist books soon.
Discworld Aesthetic: Guards! Guards!
This is the first Discworld book that I read that really got me interested in the series. As such it will always hold a special place in my heart, especially considering it introduced me to Sam Vimes who is now one of my favorite literary characters ever.
I have to admit I’m not entirely happy with this edit so I might re do it at some point but hey I had fun making it the first time, I should have fun if I decide to make it a second time too.

Rules: Pick a wip, and make a bullet-point list of what you consider to be its ‘secret ingredients’ (not actual secrets!) These could be any details and/or plot elements, big or small, that you love most about your story. WIP: The Annotated Files of Arthur Valentine
Ok so you wanna start with a handsome, mouthy, transgender private detective, marinated in a tragic backstory and tenderized by a back alley mugging.
Add two tablespoons of Lovecraftian horror mixed with a grisly murder.
A whole cup of witty banter and flirting. Actually make it two.
Slow cook in high stakes and tension to ensure that there’s background elements of mystery, paranoia and fear.
Good side dishes include: a police officer love interest who is not paid enough for this craziness and a back alley doctor whose mind is as sharp as his scalpels.
I honestly have no idea who to tag for this because Amanda already tagged everybody I know. So if you see this and are interested or have the time give it a shot! Anybody who wants to can. Open invitation.

So I got tagged by @muarada like forever ago to do this. I only just now had the time do to it but I had a really fun time doing it. I did my two main boys and my new Ravnica character that I’m super excited to play. Thinking of the animals was the hardest part. Valentine’s is specifically a shrike also known as the butcher bird. I think my favorite part of this is the font I found for Saul’s name. It’s so shitty looking I love it. I don’t really know who to tag for this so consider it a free pass.
