I was disappointed there weren't more levels, so I made them! The creator's code was under CC Share Alike, so I moved a copy to my website, rustled up 40 new categories, and added buttons so you can generate smaller puzzles!

my inbox and twitter both informed me that not only does International Hyena Day exist, but that it’s today! I couldn’t let this important occasion go by without drawing something, and I finished this just in time with only an hour to spare. Happy special day to these four special creatures.

A few months ago, I saw this post :

Then I saw this other post

For my version, I wanted the petals to be a little wider at the base, and they overlap, which creates a different effect. Maybe a bit more bulky but anyway I like it.

To make it easier to fold and unfold the petals, I added a sort of hinge (a rectangle of fabric folded in half and sewn on one side to the base pentagon and on the other to the petals).

The outer fabric is carmine-colored linen (it’s very hard to photograph), and the bag’s lining is a type of black cotton gauze. I had everything in stash except the black cord I had to buy.

Everything is hand-sewn.

Foiled!

Today I got to go on one of our runs to more rural shelters to help relieve overcrowding there. We ended up bringing back 21 kittens and 10 dogs. So fun day. But this morning, while I was getting stuff together in preparation for the 90 minute drive…. This happened.

Excuse you Tiniest Opossum, but you are NOT allowed to escape through the front bars of the cat carrier we were housing you in. I’m going to put you back.

“NO!”

I am going to catch you and put you back and you have no say in this matter.

“NO!”

Catching you and putting you back now.

“NOOOOOO!”

Aaaand back you go. Let go of the purple towel and go in the cardboard box.

“Noooooooooooo!”
