SUMMARY: What do you do when Katsuki, the person you love so, so much, shows signs of overworking himself? What can you even do to help him?
WORD COUNT: 700+
WARNINGS: Katsuki overworking, self-harm (just adding this in case) (he uses his quirk so uh-), you comforting Katsuki, Katsuki not thinking he’s strong enough (he’s so strong tho-)
A/N: This took me waaaay too long to finish- I kept getting distracted </3 Anyways, yes- this was a collab with @minsipie for their Ease the Pain Collab! (Yes I’m tryna finish all of my Collab stuff so I can start writing stuff for my own collab...) No because he’s my comfort character and deserves all the love- Katsuki deserves like, a couple forehead kisses.
A/N Part 2: Also y’all, please don’t overwork yourself... It’s not good (I say this as I am currently doing a lot of things at once and slightly overworking myself-) BUT, I don’t want y’all getting exhausted. Take some time for yourself to just relax. <33
"How long has it been since you slept?"
Your eyes were filled with worry for Katsuki, frowning softly. "Seriously. What have you been doing?" You smacked his shoulder gently. "You look like you're about to collapse."
"...'S nothing, don't worry about me." A soft huff escaped the ash-blond male, not meeting your gaze. "'M fine, I promise."
You shook your head, disbelieving. "Oh, hush. That's clearly not true." You grabbed his arm, dragging him toward his bed. "Go. To. Sleep."
"But..." He mumbled, barely resisting your touch. He was pretty sleepy, anyway.
You sighed softly as you plopped down on the bed next to him. "Have you been sleeping much?" You asked, gently running a hand through his hair.
He grumbled softly as he laid down, leaning in to your touch. "...Suppose not. But, I have to train... I can't let Icy Hot beat me, or Deku..." He muttered, huffing a little. "I have to be the best, Number One in my class; otherwise, how'll I be a good hero...?"
You huffed a little, gently smacking his shoulder. "That's stupid. Of course you'll be a good hero. Look at Hawks, he's a good hero, and he's not number one, is he?"
"Yeah, but... I have to be number one, I have to beat all the extras-"
"Yes, yes, but you have to rest. If you don't rest, then your body would be too overworked, and that wouldn't be good, would it? Just take some time off. You're clearly exhausted."
"'M not..." He muttered, just leaning in to your touch as his eyes fluttered shut.
A few moments later, he fell asleep, you yawning a bit before wrapping your arms around him, laying next to him and nuzzling in to him. You soon drifted off as well, being a bit tired.
A couple hours later, Katsuki stirred slightly. You were already awake, laying next to him on your stomach as you were on your computer. When you heard him stirring, you closed your computer before leaning next to him, pressing a gentle kiss on his forehead. "Feel better?" You asked softly, wrapping your arms around him.
The male nodded with a soft hum, relaxing ever so slightly at your touch. He leaned in to your touch even more, content. "Yeah... Thanks. You really don't need to worry about me, though."
"Oh really," you deadpanned, staring at him. "If I didn't worry, you'd overwork yourself until you passed out." You nudged him gently with a small sigh. "You're an idiot."
Katsuki grumbled softly, frowning a bit. "...'M not an idiot, [Y/N]." He huffed a little.
"Yes you are. I love you, though." You paused for a moment. "How exactly are you overworking yourself, though?"
"I'm not overworking myself." He huffed again at your stare, then pulled the sleeves of his hoodie up.
You hadn't really realized that he never wore short sleeves anymore; you had thought that he was just cold. Your eyes widened slightly as you saw the bruises on his raw skin, some that looked like it had been scratched off. "I... Katsuki."
"It's not what you think- I, I've been trying to be able to use my quirk more, and I was just using it on myself to make sure I was getting stronger..." He bit his lip lightly, cringing in on himself. He hated having you stare at him like this... It made him uneasy.
"So? You can't keep hurting yourself like this." You huffed softly, arms moving to gently wrap around the male. "It'll make you worse. I know you're trying to get stronger, I really do. But overworking yourself is like going one step forward and two steps back. Proper rest, as well as not overusing your quirk, will help you become better, I promise." You held him close, gently wrapping your arms around him. "So... Promise me you won't try to use your quirk as much, please..."
"...Whatever, you really don't need to worry so much. It's unnecessary." The male sighed. "But, fine, I won't. Or, I'll try not to, at least..." He grumbled softly. He really would do anything for you... Even this. Even stop doing a lot of his training just to appease you. His eyes softened a bit as he held you close, nuzzling into the crook of your neck. This was the one thing that comforted him, just having you here, and he wouldn't want anything else to change.
A/N Part 3 (Just to annoy you <3): Please consider promoting my collab: “Take my hand, we’ll make it I swear”. I need people to write in it and I don’t know enough people (my fault because I hardly ever try to interact, I know) but like- if you have any writers that you know that are looking for a collab to join... Tell them about this one! (Now that’s it I’m done with promoting myself now- I bet half of y’all didn’t even read this (I wouldn’t so uh-))
SUMMARY: Dabi gets dragged along on your subbing job for a kindergarten class; will he, the class, and you be okay?
WORD COUNT: 1.5k
WARNINGS: Boys being boys (but, y'know, in a good/funny/idiotic way (y'all know how boys (especially cis boys) are-)), children being gross (if you get disgusted by mentions of spit, snot, and children being sick, this fic is probably not for you- you've been warned), Dabi feeling insecure, Dabi trying to give you affection in front of children (but like- soft attention, not anything that children shouldn't see-), you threatening Dabi (although it's somewhat playful-), my OCs being turned into a kindergarten class and being chaotic.
A/N: This was so fun to write- what- Anyways, this was for a collab with @yesitsmewhataboutit for their Reverse Collab!
Dabi blinked, sighing softly as he walked inside the school. Why, exactly, was he, a wanted villain, doing this? What was the point?
He glanced over at you, eyes softening ever so slightly. Yes, he was soft for you... He couldn't help it. He let you do... Pretty much anything. Including getting dragged to an elementary school in the middle of nowhere. Apparently you volunteered there every Thursday when you could to read books and pretty much just take care of the children. Although he loved being with you, being with children was... A nuisance.
He let out a soft huff, wrapping his arms around your waist, and holding you close, nuzzling in to you. He didn't care that there were literal five-year-olds watching, picking their noses or whatever little kids do. Being so close to you made him happy, and that was that.
With a small laugh, you pushed the male off your back. "Touya, no- I know you like cuddles, but not right now. Wait for like... Seven hours. That's around when we'll be done."
Dabi huffed softly with a small pout. Seven hours? He wasn't allowed to shower you with affection for seven hours? Seriously.
He let out a small mumble of assent, nodding slightly before following you to one of the classrooms.
Personally, this particular class was your favorite. They weren't super chaotic, but they weren't dead-quiet either. You hummed softly as you walked in, Dabi trailing after you like a lost puppy.
"Ooh, ooh, is that your boyfriend, [L/N]-sensei?" A little girl stood up, hand raised straight up in the air with a big smile on her face. "I didn't know you were dating any-"
Another kid stood up, half-pushing her away. "Shh- [L/N]-sensei, who's that person?"
"No- you guys need to stop being so-"
"Shut upppp!"
"Shut up's a bad word-"
"It is not-"
"Class. Be quiet." A soft laugh escaped you, smiling softly. "This is Touya. Just call him Touya-sensei, all right?" You hummed softly; you didn't want to think of a last name for Dabi, since if he didn't respond, that would be bad, and anyways, it'd be fine.
Dabi huffed softly before you poked him in the stomach. He glanced over at you before sighing. "Hey. I'm Touya, I guess. And yes, I'm dating [L/N]-sensei." He received a glare from you as whispers spread throughout the class, kids almost jumping from their seats.
"No, Touya. Hush. We weren't supposed to talk about that." You nudged him slightly with a small huff. "Shh, class." You clapped your hands together to try to get their attention, which worked somewhat.
Most of the kids sat back down a few seconds later, allowing you to get on with class. Mostly, you just had to watch over them as they were smart enough to do most things themselves.
Dabi was wandering around a bit, pausing as a girl—the same kid who first asked if he was dating you—tugged on his jacket. He paused slightly, freezing as his jacket slipped away a bit, showing his scars. He bit the inside of his cheek, internally panicking. He shook his head slightly, ignoring the girl and walking back to you, grabbing your hand and half-dragging you out, leaving the class staring at you in confusion.
You paused for a moment, worried as you watched him. "Dabi...? What's wrong?" You asked softly, running a hand through his hair. Your head tilted slightly to the side, your free hand cupping his cheek.
"I just..." He mumbled softly, biting his lip. "I don't think I can do this..."
You sighed a little. "It's okay, Touya, don't worry... The children love you." You blinked as you watched him, uncertain.
"It's- it's not that. I just... You know, my scars..." He said quietly, clearly uncomfortable.
You were surprised, yes, but quickly recovered. "You know I like your scars. The children'll find them fascinating, too. Just, shh..." You pressed a chaste kiss to his lips.
He sighed shakily as he leaned in to your touch, relaxing ever so slightly. His eyes fluttered shut, nodding a little. "Yeah, but... So many people have gotten scared because of them. The youngest person that I talk to lately is Toga, and you know how she is." He paused for a moment. "I just, don't want to terrify them..."
"I know, I know... But they've been through a lot. They had a villain attack on their school, too, so there's that... I think it was because one of the students here was the child of a hero." She paused for a moment. "You better not tell anyone in the League this, I'll hit you if y'all ever get any one of these children hurt." You huffed softly; you didn't really mean it, but you were pretty close to a lot of the kids here. Even though they were young, and sometimes pretty rude (as well as disgusting), they grew on you.
"Yeah, yeah... And, I won't. I don't want to make you angry." Dabi let out a soft chuckle, glancing up at you. "Thanks. That made me feel better." He played with a lock of your hair for a moment before pulling away. "Now, we should go back to the kids, right? Take care of them?"
"You sorta sounded like we were married and looking after our biological kids, while also sounding like you were about to murder them. But, yeah." You hummed softly, grabbing his hand as you walked in.
"See, I told you that they were-"
"Hush, Gin-chan. Sit down."
The school day was mostly over, you two just had recess to get over with and that would be all.
Overall, the day was going pretty good, the children were behaving... Well, decently.
Up until that point, at least.
You had ran to the bathroom for a bit, leaving Dabi alone to take care of the twenty or so kids in the class. And then it was chaos.
Some of the kids were pulling on his jacket and pants (since he was crouched down to their level), watching him curiously.
"Wow- what're these? Bruises?" A little child asked, his dark blue eyes blinking as he looked at Dabi's arms.
"They're... Scars, I guess. From overusing my Quirk."
"Woah- that can happen?" His eyes were wide.
"Mm, for some people. I think it depends on the quirk, sometimes... But yeah. You need to be careful." He let out a soft sigh.
The kid nodded a little, before grabbing his hand. "You should smileeee-" He said, almost obnoxious.
"Yeah, yeah." He rolled his eyes, cracking a small smile. Just then, he heard a scream, as well as a horrified gasp from you—you were back, finally!
"No- Yuuma, no-" You grabbed the cup away from one of the children. "What is this?"
Yuuma blinked up at you innocently. "A concoction I made!" He seemed really happy when he used such a big word. "It has dirt, leaves, and spit in it!"
You blinked, staring at the child before sighing, turning away and burying your face in Dabi's shoulder. "What should I do with them..."
Dabi laughed softly, rubbing your back. "Shh... It's okay, love." He took the cup from your hands, glancing over at Yuuma, who looked a bit disappointed that his precious concoction was going away. "It's all right—Yuuma, right? It's okay. We can make another concoction; one that won't make [L/N]-sensei here faint." He chuckled softly, throwing the cup away before getting a new one handed to him by you.
"I swear, both of you are going to timeout if I hear anything else gross happening." You sighed softly, shaking your head as you muttered "boys..." under your breath. You loved them, sure, but sometimes you just wanted to smack them all on the head. Lovingly, of course.
You were glad that Dabi and the children were getting along, though. Most of the boys and around a third of the girls were crowded around him. They all thought his quirk was "better than [L/N]-sensei's," apparently, which made you sigh. Children. Always so impressed with the flashy quirks. You weren't jealous. Nope. Not at all.
Anyways, you walked around, tending to the other children, helping them get up. They really were cute, though... You loved all of them a lot.
Soon, the day was over, and it was finally time to go home. After watching over all the children going home, both of you could go home as well. You glanced up at Dabi with a small smile on your face. "See- This wasn't that bad, was it?"
He shrugged slightly. "Yeah, I suppose not. They were pretty nice."
You poked his stomach gently. "Oh, hush, you know you loved it."
"Yeah, yeah." He laughed a little, poking you back. "Now, let's go home; I want to give you a lot of cuddles."
You smiled softly, grabbing his hand and walking. You really couldn't wait to spend the rest of your day with Dabi.
SUMMARY: In which Dabi stalks and then kidnaps you, all because he loves you.
WORD COUNT: 1.9k
WARNINGS: Stalking, kidnapping, mentions of (somewhat) animal abuse, you ignoring Dabi for a cute puppy, getting burned/passing out, possibly yandere(? I'm not sure- like it wasn't meant to be yandere but-), angst(ish) to fluff
A/N: The reader has a quirk called Siren; when you sing and focuses on a specific target, you can get their quirk. How long you have it depends on how focused you are, and how long you have sang. You can also sing mentally, but that usually takes more time. If you sing for a while and you don't have a target, and then find someone to focus on, then you can have their quirk for much longer. And, and- your target has to be fairly close to you. (This explanation is so long and this fic barely even mentions your quirk </3) Alsoooo- sorry if Dabi is a bit out of character, I tried- (he's my comfort character, I should know what he's like, but I still don't-)
A/N part 2: The word "Gin's" was autocorrected to "God's" and honestly that makes me happy :3 (If you know who Gin is, then good-)
A/N part 3: Don’t know if this was the kind of oneshot you wanted, but oh well-
Dabi wasn't sure what had drawn him to you. Maybe it was your hair, or the way you held yourself. Maybe your smile. Whatever it was, he was entranced by you.
He still remembered the first day he saw you in passing... Your small smile as you talked with a stray puppy, urging it to come closer. The way you gently rubbed its ears, making it let out a soft whine of happiness and lick your hand gently, which made you laugh. How you picked it up so tenderly, the dog nuzzling right in to you—almost like a baby clinging to their mother. It was sweet.
He didn't know what had pulled him to move closer to you. All he knew was that he followed you home, hiding out in little alleyways until you reached your apartment. He heard your soft voice, cooing to the little dog.
He had remembered seeing that puppy in passing, heard how its owners yelled at it. It reminded him of himself, in a way... But that dog looked so happy with you now. It had run away whenever he tried to get closer, maybe scared of his scars. Whatever... It didn't matter, anyway. Not like he could've done anything for the dog.
Maybe, if that dog became so happy with you... Could you make him happy, as well...?
Maybe that was what started it. This- this obsession. Because as days passed, he found himself more and more entranced by you, following you home, following you everywhere. Learning your name, [L/N] [Y/N]. He longed to just have you all to himself... But he couldn't do that, right? He couldn't just lock you up in a cage or anything...
He sighed softly, watching you as you walked to the balcony of your apartment, letting your puppy have a breath of fresh air. You cooed to it gently before kissing the top of the dog's head. And that made Dabi so, so jealous. Why couldn't he have any affection like that? What was so wrong with him? He knew he looked terrible, but... He just wanted someone to love him for who he was. Although he knew that was impossible, right? Who in their right mind would love him? A soft snort escaped him before he froze.
Your eyes had flickered up to his figure, looking worried. Shit. He quickly turned away, sprinting as he ran from your gaze. Your soft, pure gaze that he loved so much.
You weren't sure who the mysterious man was, or why he ran away when he caught your gaze. But... It was fine, right? You looked at the little puppy in your arms, looking like a bundle of fallen leaves. "You look so adorable, Gin-chan!" You smiled happily, gently placing her down and petting her before leading her back inside. You were glad this apartment didn't have anything against pets... It would've broken your heart if it did.
Gin had looked worried when the two of you had first arrived at your apartment, squirming in your arms as you walked inside. Still, a soft hum from you relaxed her a bit. She clearly trusted you a lot... Which was a bit weird, but it was okay. You learned not to move suddenly, and soon she was all over you. Cute.
Still, your mind drifted to the strange male that you had seen on the rooftop. What was going on... Were you being watched? A small shiver ran through your body at the thought, and Gin worriedly nudged you, whining softly. You glanced down at her before petting her again. "It's okay. I'm never going to leave you, I promise."
Well... Those words were meant to be true, at least.
You sighed softly as you glanced around the dark room, frowning softly. You sang a soft melody in your mind, powering up your quirk. You didn't use it often, not really liking stealing a quirk, but hey... When you were in an unknown place, it was better than nothing. Hopefully someone was around, though... If not, then you wouldn't be able to use the quirk. For a little while, at least.
You tested the bonds on your ankles and wrists. No luck. It was way too tight.
You froze slightly as you heard a door open, eyes squeezing shut at the sudden light. A rough hand grabbed your chin, humming softly as they did so. Sounded like a guy... Your eyes fluttered open, eyes meeting bright cerulean ones. A soft gasp escaped you, trailing over his scarred features, a faint flush growing on your cheeks. He was handsome, in a scary way...
"Looks like our little doll is awake." A soft chuckle escaped the male, standing up and pulling away. You stared at him, uncertain. Wait... Had you seen him before? Maybe at the small café that you worked at? You didn't think so, though... Surely you would've recognized him. Maybe... The news? You might be onto something there.
Still, you weren't sure as you stared at him, pausing as you heard a few more footsteps. Well, now or never... You focused in on the male, who had his back to you before opening your mouth, letting the melody fly through you as you sang softly.
Dabi froze, whirling around to stare at you as a burst of bright blue flame ran through you. It hurt a bit, but... You could handle it, right? The flames had burned away the rope, and you stood up shakily, wincing as you did so.
"You let them escape?" A new voice. Male, sounding mad. You backed away a little, holding your hands with the flames out even as it continued to burn you.
"No- they- I don't know how they did it, but they stole my quirk-" Bright blue flames encircled you, stronger than the ones that you had from your hands. It didn't hurt, though... It was calmer. However, it was making sure you couldn't escape.
You finally stopped using the male's quirk, collapsing on the ground and wincing slightly as you did so. Burns were on your hands, and you hated the fact... You couldn't even take care of yourself.
You heard a small sigh as the wall of flames around you vanished, strong arms grabbing your waist and hoisting you up. "You really shouldn't do that when you're going to get hurt..." That was the last thing you heard as you blacked out.
Dabi wasn't sure what to think as he watched you laying down on his bed, a pack of ice on both of your arms. On one hand, he was glad to have you there... It was nice. But, on the other hand, he hated that you tried to go away. But, then again, why wouldn't you? He sighed again, shifting a bit closer and running his hands through your hair, enjoying it a bit.
He thought back to how he had taken you from your home when you were fast asleep, grabbing the things that he thought you would want or need. Your phone and wallet, although he kept both with him, some snacks, and... Your puppy. He hated to admit it, but he hoped that seeing your dog would make you relax. Hopefully... At least he had the good sense to bring over some dog food and bowls.
Although it may have been smart to bring the dog, it was definitely not smart of him to lock the dog in a cage. What else was he supposed to do, though—the dog was being annoying and trying to attack him. It didn't even know any better.
Dabi sighed again, then froze as you stirred. A soft murmur escaped your lips, eyes fluttering open. You tensed slightly as you saw the male, eyes widening slightly before starting to push him away.
"Hey. I'm not going to hurt you." A soft huff escaped Dabi, moving to gently wrap an arm around you before making you sit up. He repositioned the ice pack on your arms, sighing again as he looked up in to your eyes. They really were a pretty hue.
"Well, I can't believe that you won't hurt me when you literally have me caught in a place I—wait, Gin?" Your eyes widened as you saw the little puppy, pushing Dabi away again and getting up, stumbling toward the cage.
The puppy whined softly, scrabbling toward you and pressing her nose against the wire. You reached your finger in, petting the dog a little to calm her before turning back toward Dabi. "Unlock the cage. Now." Your voice was cold as you glared at the male, who winced slightly.
"In my defense, she was snarling at me." Dabi huffed a little before grabbing a key, unlocking the door. As if on cue, the puppy darted out, nipping Dabi's ankles before moving to your lap, nuzzling into you. "See-"
You ignored him, gently cooing to the puppy and kissing her. "Shh... It's okay, baby. I know he must've scared you, but it's okay... I'm here now. You must've been so scared without me..."
Dabi sighed again, moving to sit beside you and wrap an arm around you—or at least try to. Because as soon as he did that, the little menace that was your dog moved to bite him. Again. "Can't you make your dog have a bit more manners?"
"Can't you stop clinging to me and being annoying?" You shot back, glaring over at him. You were kidnapped, not knowing where you were with an unknown male, and he had the audacity to ask you to move your dog away? No way you were agreeing to that.
"[Y/N]-"
"No. Wait, how do you know my name? And why do you think you can talk to me on a first-name basis?" Your eyes narrowed as you glared at him. "Because one, I don't even know your name, nor who you are; two, I don't know where I am, and why you took me from my house; three, you hurt Gin's feelings; and four, I have no intention of sleeping with you." You held your puppy close.
"I- well, because I... I'm in love with you. And... I'm Dabi. Although you may know me as... Touya Todoroki." A soft sigh escaped the male as he watched you. "I'm a... Villain, I guess... And, I don't want to sleep with you, I just... Want to stay with you. You're so nice, and I just- No one's ever been nice to me before..." He glanced away, biting his lip a little.
You paused for a moment, uncertain. He just looked like an insecure little kid... But still.
"Love? How would you even know if you loved me...?" You felt your cheeks growing hot, but ignored it. "As I said before, we barely know each other... And anyways, why would you even like me?" You sighed softly with a small frown. It was a look that didn't suit you, in Dabi's opinion. He wanted to see you smiling and happy.
Dabi let out a small huff before leaning in, wrapping his arms around you and holding you close. The little puppy growled a bit at him before squirming away, but you leaned in to his touch, to his surprise. "I won't hurt you... Promise. Won't let anyone hurt you, either."
You sighed softly, gently biting your lip. Should you trust him...? Maybe not, but... He seemed sincere. "Well, guess I'll just have to wait and see if that's true, then." You glanced over at him with a small smile, and Dabi felt his heart melt as he watched you.
SUMMARY: Kai never told you how he really felt about you, and now he’s paying the price.
WORD COUNT: 800+
WARNINGS: Character death, hanahaki, Chisaki being jealous, just angst in general with no happy ending
A/N: I spent ages on this fic, and for what? A measly 800 words?? I’m disappointed in myself </3 Anyways, this was a collab with @okkatsudon for their Somebody New Collab! One down, one more to go-
A/N Part 2: Kinda realized that this is an involuntary reminder to myself to just- confess to my crushes before they start dating someone else?? Lmaoo-
Kai hated this. Hated how he didn't ask for you beforehand. And now you were gone, on a date with some other guy, who he would've gladly obliterated if it wasn't for the fact that he didn't want to destroy your happiness.
He grazed his hand over his mouth, another cough racking his body. Eyes narrowed, he frowned softly. This... This disease, it was getting worse, wasn't it. He clenched his fists, biting his lip. He hated all of this. At least it wasn't too dirty... But he still didn't like this.
He huffed softly as he threw the petals that fell from his lips into the trashcan, closing his eyes as he tried to breathe in, laying down on the bed. His body started trembling a little, a sob racking his body. He curled in on himself, shaking as he gripped at his arms. He just- he just wanted you. He wanted you to like him back, he wanted you to smile at him the way you smiled at that other guy. He was so unhygenic, and he was stupid. What made you fall for him?
What was the point anyways... As long as you were happy, that was all that mattered, right?
No. That wasn't it.
He just- he wanted you for himself. He wanted to love you better. Not as a friend, but as a lover. But he knew he couldn't do that. You had someone else you cared for, and you only saw him as a friend. Although he hated the fact, he couldn't deny it.
He sighed softly, then flinched as he heard a knock. "Go- go away..." He got out, voice cracking.
Your eyes widened in surprise, you had just gotten back from your date. "Kai...?" You asked softly, worry clear in your voice.
He froze, biting his lip before hurriedly putting the petals away under his bed. "Go away, [Y/N]." His voice was sharp.
You ignored him, opening the door and stepping inside. "Kai, what's going on?"
He shook his head slightly as he glanced back at you. The pain in his chest seemed to lessen the more he was around you, but... He knew that that would make him fall more for you. But he didn't want you to look at him with those soft eyes of yours, filled with... What? Disgust, pity? Love, but not in the way that he wanted you to love him? It didn't matter, though. He just needed to get through this conversation.
"Seriously. Kai. Please." Your voice was soft, pleading. Your eyes were wide with worry as you walked a bit closer to him. "Tell me what's going on..."
He let out a soft huff, closing his eyes as he tried to think. Then, another cough racked his body, tears welling in his eyes.
You were quick to move toward him, staying next to him and rubbing his back gently until the coughs subsided. "Seriously... What's wrong, Kai?"
The male just leaned in to your touch, a soft sigh escaping him. "I... Have, uhm, Hanahaki..." He mumbled softly.
"I- seriously? Who's the person you like?" Your eyes were wide.
"...I'm not telling you, and anyways... They have no chance of being with me." He started coughing again, flinching as he coughed out a whole flower. Shit... "A-anyways... How was your date?"
"No. Stop changing the subject. Please, just tell me..."
He shook his head stubbornly, and you sighed as you wrapped your arms around him, pulling him close to you. "I don't... It'll just hurt more when y- they reject me..."
You frowned softly at his words. "I might be able to help, though. Put you on a blind date or something with them-"
"No!" His voice was sharp, then he started coughing again. Was that... Blood...? He didn't have much time, he might even die today... But it would be all right. Just hold on until you left.
You froze slightly as a thought dawned on you, eyes widening. "Kai... It's not me, is it? You have a crush on someone else, right...?"
The yakuza froze, trembling slightly. His voice broke as he uttered a single word. "Yes..."
You tensed a little, worry flashing in your eyes. "You have to get the surgery- I can't- I don't want to see you die, please..."
"I'd rather die than forget about you, or lose my romantic feelings for you." He huffed softly. "I don't want to die, yeah, but... I'd rather- rather be with you."
Tears blurred your vision as you held him close. "K-kai, please..."
His breaths were becoming laboured, eyes half-shut as he just leaned in to your touch, too weak to even start coughing again. He swallowed a little as he looked up at you, eyes softer than you had ever seen them. "...I love you... And I'm sorry, [Y/N]." His eyes then fluttered shut, leaving only the sound of your soft sobs to fill the room.
SUMMARY: You always knew about your soulmate... Who could’ve guessed that you two would meet in a very uneventful morning?
WORD COUNT: 600+
WARNINGS: Katsuki listening to too much rock music, you listening to more pop music (so sorry if you don’t listen to that), Katsuki with his crazy reflexes, you getting pinned/pushed/thrown to the ground (no not in a sexual way, it was Katsuki’s reflexes), and yeah... That’s it.
A/N: Inspired by this post about soulmates where every time your soulmate listens to music, you can hear it too. So yes- fun. This was for a collab with @sasusaki for their Kavyaverse Collab! This was pretty fun to write (although I’m lowkey disappointed because what exactly is that word count ew- I wish I could’ve wrote more b u t I accidentally wrote an ending and I was like “well that sounds good with me I guess so yeah-)
You sighed a little as you woke up to... Rock music. Of course it was rock music. You rubbed your eyes a little as you just sat up, stretching back before getting ready for your day.
You never knew why your soulmate always listened to such loud music. It had always given you a headache. Seriously. What kind of person woke themselves up with heavy metal? Maybe a lot of people did that. Not you. You usually woke yourself up to more pleasant things. Such as gentle piano music, or something.
You hummed softly as you got ready for your day, putting on your school uniform before going out to go to class.
People were surprised that a person like you would go to UA. You were smart, yeah, and pretty creative. But UA? It seemed too random. Why would you want to go there, anyway?
Well, you wanted to create support items. Ever since you were little, you thought the different items that heroes had were cool. And you always had an interest in inventors. You had been building things out of random scraps for years.
You shook your head slightly to dispel those thoughts as you walked out of your dorm, skipping slightly as you moved to go to school. You paused slightly on the sidewalk, though. Because you heard a small humming noise that went along with the music in your ears...
You blinked a bit in surprise before running after the blond a bit. "Hey- wait!" You called after him. He didn't stop, however, and you had to almost sprint to catch up to him enough that you could grab his arm. "Aren't you- aren't you my soulmate...?"
Katsuki had always known about soulmates. Specifically his soulmate. He knew that they always listened to less rock music than he did. More of a variety of different types. Some songs were in a foreign language, which he didn't particularly care about... But he didn't particularly like it, either.
He let out a soft huff, the hard rock music that he was listening to drowning out the other people's voices as he got ready for another tiring day at UA.
He walked quickly out as he was done, head nodding slightly to the beat of the music as he walked. Although it had been pretty loud, he turned down the volume a bit as he got to the road.
He heard a voice, calling out to someone, but he ignored it. Maybe it was another extra, or maybe they were calling someone else.
He flinched ever so slightly as the person grabbed his arm, however, before his instincts kicked in, flipping them over and landing on top of them, their back hitting the ground.
He paused slightly though as the words that the other had said finally caught on. "Wait... Soulmate?" He frowned slightly, blinking.
You nodded slightly, gasping for breath; you were a bit winded.
He let out a soft huff, shaking his head. "...Where's the proof?"
"Let me... Listen to your music," you got out, and with a small sigh, Katsuki took off his headphones, gently putting them in your ears.
He froze slightly as he heard the music, eyes widening. "...So you weren't lying..." He murmured softly. "Well, what's your name?"
"I'm [L/N] [Y/N]. And you're... Bakugo Katsuki, aren't you?" Your head tilted slightly to the side, relieved that you had finally caught your breath.
"...Okay. And, yeah. Well, nice to meet you, [L/N]." He smiled faintly at you before helping you up. "Well, what do you want to do now, soulmate? Walk to school together?"
SUMMARY: How will your relationship with Aone change when you see him wearing feminine clothing?
WORD COUNT: 300+
WARNINGS: Poor Aone being a lil worried.
A/N: I hope this was good (and in character- I think it’s a bit bad, since I don’t have much of a connection to him- so uh-) Anyways I really do hope it was good-
Aone didn't want anyone to know that he liked wearing feminine clothing.
It wasn't that he was embarrassed, per se, he just didn't feel like explaining it to anyone.
He just loved wearing feminine clothes, and no one would understand, right...?
So he wasn't sure what to do when you came in, knocking on his door and then just bursting in, like you always did.
"O-oh- Hey." He stared at you, uncertainly shifting from side to side as he pulled his skirt down a bit.
You weren't sure what you were supposed to do, really.
"Aone? You all right?" You walk closer to him, worried.
He nodded a little, but he still looked uncertain.
"Yeah, it's fine. I just- you don't feel awkward, seeing me in... This?"
You blinked, then shook your head. "No. Why would I?" Your head tilted slightly to the side. "You look pretty in that, anyway."
You watched as a faint blush grew on his cheeks, head tilting slightly to the side. "...Thanks..." He mumbled softly.
He soon got used to you coming and let you help choose clothes for him.
"Do you think this looks good?"
You were always so happy to help him find different clothes (it was easier for you, since you didn't seem as intimidating and it seemed less weird for you, since people didn't give you so many odd looks; you were happy to help go to the store and buy clothes for him).
He honestly grew really soft with you, and sent you pictures of different outfits.
He was bad at expressing how grateful he was to you... He was really glad that you did this for him, although he didn't talk too much about it.
Still, he hoped that you'd be there for him for a long while, and not leave; he'd miss you and your chatter if you did.
SUMMARY: You overheard your boss/crush talking about how he loved you, so a concert made especially for him is the best way to tell him you feel the same way, right?
WORD COUNT: 1.2k
WARNINGS: pure fluff, mutual pining, awkwardness, you singing in front of an audience,
A/N: Ahaha this is partly me writing this because I have a solo in May where I sing ‘Walking on Sunshine’ and I was thinking about how I should dance in the shower so uh- yeah- and then I was like “Why the heck not” so I added another 80′s song- lmao- anyways here’s song one and song two.
"I used to think maybe you love me, now baby I'm sure~" Your smile grew, swaying a bit as you sang into the mic, pointing at the audience. "And I just can't wait till the day when you knock on my door~"
The audience was entranced by your voice, or your looks, or maybe they were just too drunk to know what was going on. Whatever it was, they all loved you.
You had done this on a whim, really; you had heard your crush, Chisaki, talking in a muttered voice about how he had a crush on you to... Who was it? One of his most trusted people. So, as a hint—if it could even count as one—you invited him to an impromptu concert.
The male in question was watching you, arms crossed over his chest. A faint flush was steadily growing on his cheeks, but he ignored it. He just watched you; you were in such a pretty outfit. He loved it, but he knew he shouldn't say anything about it, lest he get teased.
He was enjoying the 'concert', although he really didn't want to watch you with all the others... He wanted you to sing to him personally. Not that he'd ever admit it to you.
After you finished the song, you bowed, smiling brightly at the cheers and calls for an encore. You shook your head slightly, laughing a little as you walked off, trying to find the young leader of the Shie Hassaikai. He had to be here somewhere... You had invited him personally, and anyways, he'd have heard about this, since you had talked about it to quite a few members.
Well... Not like you were begging for his attention. He was your employer, and it was completely inappropriate to think of him this way... But whatever.
Still, where was he... You blinked as you ran in to someone, an apology falling from your lips as you glanced up into beautiful golden eyes. His eyes.
"Oh- Chisaki-san." You smiled a little at him, looking a bit uncertain for the first time this night. "Did you like the concert?"
The male nodded slightly. "Yeah... I did. I enjoyed it a lot." He smiled faintly, not that it would show through the mask. "I really liked listening to your voice. Not to mention you sang in English... That's impressive. Could you sing a bit more for me?"
Your eyes widened slightly before you nodded, smiling a little more. "Yes, of course! What would you like me to sing?" Your head tilted slightly to the side as you watched him.
He paused for a moment, thinking. "Well... Anything's fine."
You hummed softly, thinking for a moment before deciding on a song. Before you could speak, Chisaki grabbed your arm, tugging you out of the room. "...I want it to be more private, so I can hear you better," he mumbled, a weak excuse, but he didn't care. All he wanted was to be with you.
You blinked, eyes wide. You were seriously rethinking the song you had picked... But hey, too late now. And you knew the lyrics by heart.
You walked in to a room, blinking as you saw a bed. Was this... His room...? You felt your cheeks burn at the thought, but shook it off. You took out your phone, looking for a karaoke version of the song. "For the... background music," you told him when you felt his questioning look on you.
He sighed a little, sitting down on the bed and pretty much just staring at you as you found the song, playing on it and placing your phone down as you heard the first few notes play before you opened your mouth to sing.
"I could stay awake, just to hear you breathing..." You took in another breath, not really meeting his gaze. "Watch you smile while you are sleeping, while you're far away and dreaming..." You closed your eyes, knowing that your cheeks were growing redder as you sang.
Soon, you reached the chorus: "Don't want to close my eyes, I don't want to fall asleep!" Your eyes fluttered open, gaze meeting his unreadable expression. You smiled a little more, the perfect performer. "'Cause I'd miss you, babe, and I don't want to miss a thing..."
You finally finished the song, awkwardly shifting in place as you watched him, unsure on what to do now. It wasn't often that you got to sing in front of one singular person, especially not your boss/crush.
Chisaki, on the other hand, was frozen, eyes wide. Your voice... He was enamored with it. It was so nice... "Why'd you choose that song? I'm curious." Way more than just 'curious', honestly. Those were love songs, right? He had heard some of the other members of the Shie Hassaikai listening to them sometimes. Half of them wanted to fall in love with someone, or have their feelings reciprocated, or all that. A few months ago, he would've scoffed. But now... He knew how they felt. He wanted you to like him back.
You paused a little. "Well, it's because I like you, Chisaki-san..." You murmured with a small smile.
Like him? In what way? His breathing sped up ever so slightly as he watched you. "Like me? Really...?" He hated this feeling. He knew he would most likely get crushed if he got rejected... But still. He walked a bit closer. Usually, he'd be disgusted by being this close to someone... But honestly, if you were the person making him sick, it was better. He'd rather it be you than anyone else.
You stared at him, blinking slightly in surprise at how close he was. You felt your cheeks grow a bit warmer as you watched him. What was going on...
"Do you have a crush on me, perhaps...?" He murmured softly, gazing in to your soft eyes. You really were so pretty...
"Well... Would you be mad if I say... Yes...?" You murmured, almost a whisper.
His eyes widened slightly in surprise before he shook his head. "No... I'm happy, really." He smiled ever so slightly, relaxing. "I'm glad you like me..." A gloved hand moved to cup your cheek gently, smile growing as he watched you lean in to his touch.
"Mhm, same here..." You smiled even more, content. "But, isn't it a bit inappropriate to have you as my boss and my partner?"
Chisaki rolled his eyes. "It doesn't matter. I'm the boss of this place anyways. Where would you even go if you weren't working, anyway?"
"Touché. I'd probably just stay with you full time, then."
"Well, I wouldn't exactly mind that..."
"I guess you wouldn't." You let out a laugh, shaking your head slightly.
He smiled a little more, relaxing as he pulled you to his neatly made bed, sitting down and resting his head on your shoulder. He was... Quite cuddly, which surprised you a bit. But, it was cute.
You gently ran a hand through his hair, humming a small tune as he snuggled in to you. A small smile grew on your lips, relaxing. He really was adorable.
Chisaki was satisfied. He had you, all to himself, and you were just staying with him, not going away. He let out a soft murmur at your touch, nuzzling in to you more. He really hoped you would stay with him forever... He didn't want you to go away, not ever.
