Good LORD.

I had to go get a pap smear a few weeks ago. My doctor told me that the results would get posted to my account on her system or whatever, but that if anything was abnormal, I'd get a call from her office.

My results did get posted about a week ago, but I hadn't bothered to log in to look at them. AND THEN this morning I got a voicemail from her office. Heart pounding, imagining all sorts of situations in which I'd have to go to yet another stranger to let them dig around inside my body, I called the office.

They were just calling to remind me about another procedure they've been on my case about. SIGH.
