Technically, it's an OAD.

But and OVA stands for Original Video Animation. While on the topic, ONA stands for Original Net Animation and OAD stands for Original Animated DVD. 

All three are sort of like spin offs to animes and sometimes manga, I think? Mostly animes. It all depends on where it's released. ONAs are released online, OADs are over DVDs, and OVAs are kind of the same...? The term OAD started to become popular in 2008 to refer to DVD released OVAs.
