Let me see(, you stubborn noble.)
“Afremov - it’s nothing, really, and seeing it won’t make any difference.” Kat insisted with a soft growl to his tone - not anger, certainly - Kat made it obvious when he was angry, but more pain - and frustration. Frustration with himself for managing to get himself hurt.
The bruise was deep and purple and began on his left ribs and then slid down around towards the small of his back - a quickly patched laceration at the start. Another bruise had formed near his ankle and on the side of his leg where his ankle had twisted and he had made contact with the ground. He certainly didn’t want his paramour...fussing over some injury he had managed to get himself by being less-than-adequate in a fight. Sure, he had won it in the end, but he shouldn’t have gotten hurt, shouldn’t have allowed that to happen - and there was no good to come from reinforcing that in his paramour’s mind by having him actually see the length of the bruise and wound.
