I would have liked to submit my fic post to the @whumptober-archive, but apparently the tumblr post submission form doesn't take HTML formatting (and I like to use the AO3 Share button to make fic posts) - did I understand correctly that it's fine if I just tag the archive blog in the post?
Hi,
you don't even have to tag the blog. If you use our tags we'll see it. I can't guarantee that we're reblogging everything, since it's just too much... But we will do our best :)
But tell me true: if I were the sort to be cowed by it is not done, would I be here now?
Writ Plain by @katajainen
This is a glorious Gimli x Legolas fic inspired by a piece of fanart. It is so well written and plays with drawf customs and this ships sheer defiance of societal expection.

And to be the complete opposite of @katajainen if I wait until I've finished a fic (especially a long multichapter one) to post it I will never get it finished. I'd run out of motivation.
thank you both for weighing in! :D yeah for me it’s like... half the motivation is sharing the story. I write thousands of words of notes as it is, so when I actually manage to finish those and go chapter by chapter, the fic is already drafted and halfway note-finished (and it always, always has an ending, even a vague one, to strive towards). posting it chapter by chapter just gives me those regular shots of good ol’ Serotonin I need to keep going :D

kudos to you! I remember doing the same a few years back, and it was SO satisfying (also did Classical Latin!)
it feels good right now! may feel bad tomorrow when carting all the paper downstairs starts to hit my poor arms...
Best of luck with beekeeping project! I've always wanted to try that, but have never found the time. And you're right, bees are the coolest, most magical thing there is <3
thank you! aren’t they just! like the other day I was learning about the dancing they do to inform their sisters of where the most scrumptious flowers are using the position of the sun and I’m p convinced bees are smarter than me when it comes to geography wtf
also I’m aiming to start small, they recommend three hives for your first year, and apparently it’s ok to visit them once a week, so hey, a good hobby for this busy time and age

I stg I made the most unholy squeak when I noticed you'd tagged this with 'ngcs epilogue'. Have fun writing!
hahhah I actually am having great fun writing it, yeah! can’t wait to share it with you all :D

That's going to be so beautiful! Have you decided what colour to have the knotwork yet?
Thanks so much! Ideally, I’d like the knotwork to resemble stone, and I saw some mossy blue-grey/green glass at the studio today that would be perfect. Unfortunately, I’m not sure if there’s enough to cut 70 pieces from?! We’ll see! I’m also open to suggestions!
