Sunsets are beautiful, this is when the sky has changed from orange to a hundreds shades of pink to a dark navy blue, and I love how it gaves us the feeling of warmth sensation especially when you are with someone, maybe a friend, family or a loved one. Kimi no nawa shows how warm and wonderful twilight can be . And that is why kimi no nawa was famous for it's kataware doki phenomenon.

And I also loved it when jibaku shounen hanako kun also have these scenarios, eventhough unlike kimi no nawa, it was not a romance type of anime. Kataware doki also appears mostly at the end of each episode. And it gave us little hint of romance in it. Which admit it, it gave us some giddy, giggly, shaking and doki doki vibes.

I mean look how beautiful these scenes are.

Kimi No Na Wa - Absolutely Spellbinding

Even though I watched the movie on April 25, 2017, around 2 months ago, it still has a profound effect on me. The first night after watching it, I lay down and began to have musings on the artistry of the movie and the story itself. It was in a word, spellbinding. The movie’s animation was nothing to be taken lightly; in fact, it showcased Makoto Shinkai’s amazing technique in utilizing natural light in his animations, as well as his eye for enthralling sceneries. The story, on the other hand, told the viewers a breathtaking tale of two teenagers on a quest to discover the secret behind the phenomenon eclipsing them while going on a journey to gain knowledge about the person they are switching worlds with. It included the common challenges faced by young adults in the present, while bringing the viewers to a fantastical world with an equally fantastic plot. Of course, Makoto Shinkai did not let the seriousness of the movie overwhelm the viewers; he devised a way to make the movie heart-wrenching (that Kataware Doki scene, my heart) while including comedic moments to make even the most serious people erupt in laughter. This movie is a must-watch, I guarantee you. Be prepared to board a rollercoaster of emotions as you laugh, cry, and savor the beauty of Makoto Shinkai’s best animation yet, Kimi No Na Wa (Your Name).

P.S. The soundtrack is absolutely breathtaking too. They suited the scenes where they were introduced in, and the melodies they offered helped transport the audience to Taki and Mitsuha’s world.

P.P.S. My personal favorites from the soundtrack are Zen Zen Zense, Kataware Doki, and Nandemonaiya.
