Adam Sessler Calls it a Day at G4

Well, I knew it was coming for a while, but it looks like my favorite video game television personality, Adam Sessler, is calling it quits at G4 TV. 

For those of you that don't know, Adam Sessler has hosted the longest running video game show ever, X-Play, since 1998 (that's over 20 years ago folks). I've been right there with him for many of those years. I remember when the show was called Extended Play, back when it played on TechTV (and ZDTV before that) and he hosted the show with Kate Botello. 

To be honest, G4 has sucked ever since they took over TechTV. X-Play is the only show I even watch anymore, and one of the biggest reasons I continued to watch was because of Sessler's personality and passion for gaming. It wasn't the reviews, news, event coverage, or advertiseme... er I mean interviews and behind the scenes coverage. Nope, just one guys passion for something that I myself have an interest in.

Since Sessler's out, I'm out too. To be honest, I just don't see myself spending time on this channel now. That's not necessarily a bad thing for G4 since it seems that they aren't really trying to cater to me and my demographics anyway. No big deal for either them or me really. It's too bad though, since I used to watch TechTV constantly.

Anyway, I know many gamers out there probably won't care, but this is a dark day for me at least.
