My Audio/ Visual Master Immersion Post for Playing Minecraft!!!
Doing this for the giggles, but also if anyone else finds new ways to enjoy Minecraft because of this, then yay! Let me know any of your favorite things you do to get lost in the game/enjoy it better!
SOUND: some people like silence, but I am not one of them. XD I don’t use mods for this part, just an old fashioned web browser. I enjoy music and nature-inspired ambient noises! Currently, am using:
a D&D Fantasy Forest audio atmosphere (features horse’s clip clops, leaves rustling, a distant crow, etc). If a forest isn’t your fancy, take a search through the website! They have everything from nature to around the house sounds to audio inspired by movies and tv shows! They are highly customizable as well; don’t like one particular part of a mix? You can change it, or mute it!
my own WIP soundtrack playlist on Spotify featuring soundtracks such as from Horizon Dawn Zero, Ori and the Blind Forest, Made in Abyss, and Mary and the Witch’s Flower. This music collection REALLY gets me immersed and I love it!
more nature ambiance from A Soft Murmur! here you can mix and match sounds like rain, thunder, crickets, waves, fire, birds and more! you can change the volume for each one and play as many or as few as you like. I’m a sucker for rain and fire myself.
VISUALS: I use a texture pack, several custom item packs for when I build/play, and for screenshots/my creative builds, I use shaders. Also, all my builds are in 1.14 and up. Sadly I haven’t figured out how to go back to 1.12.2 to use a lot of classic mods. But so far I am happy with the little selection I got rn!
Optifine: I actually used my texture pack without Optifine for a while and then I found out it could give me different-colored chickens and wolves, ect. XD Please do use, it will help the game run smoother and allow the use of shaders!
Texture Pack: Mizuno’s 16 Craft. This is by far my favorite texture pack. I am linking to the original creator’s website!
Vanilla Tweaks. THIS IS A MUST HAVE. You can create your own CUSTOM resource pack that change/minimize some of the annoying audio/visual parts of Minecraft. You can choose to have quiet cows, make the sun and moon round, lower the sides of blocks like grass, remove the annoying purple knobs of end rods, ect ect ect!! DO check it out, you will for sure find something you'll want to use!
Custom Item Textures (CIT):
Mizuno’s 16 Craft CIT. This will give you cute hanging plants and food and so much more! You will need the invisible item frames as well, but they can be found on this same page at the bottom.
Ghoulcraft. omg, this is a fantastic custom items pack, made to go along with Mizuno’s specifically!
Minty’s the Little Things CIT pack. I think the decorative birds here are so so cute!
Shaders: I only use shaders when I want to take screenshots. My laptop isn’t able to support them through game play sadly. BUT I absolutely adore them when I do get to use them and I switch between two kinds right now that work properly on 1.14.4. I LOVE HOW WATER LOOKS SO MUCH NOW.
BSL Shaders. Soft, dreamy-like atmosphere.
Sildur’s Shaders. Crisp. Sharp. wow! I use the Lite version.
And that’s about it for how I get fully immersed in Minecraft. Time will fly by like crazy! And never be afraid to google questions if you get lost figuring things out! Stay hydrated and have fun peeps! <3 <3 <3
