Athens-Clarke and Oconee County District Attorney Deborah Gonzalez lost to Independent Kalki Yalamanchili, who received roughly 60 percent of the vote, Fox 5 Atlanta reported.

Kate Steinle was walking on a pier in San Francisco, when she was shot in the back by and illegal immigrant who had committed five different felonies and had been deported seven times. She died in her fathers arms, her last words being ‘help me Dad.’
This verdict is sickening.
The fact that this man, not even taking his race into question, was able to get away with murder. He accidentally fired a gun directly into the body of an innocent young girl? A convicted felon, ‘accidentally’ killing her? Yeah fucking right.
I am ashamed and sad to hear this. Her family has waited two years for justice against the man who killed their daughter. And now, they are told to sit down, and that no justice will be served.
