#new Rep. Ayanna Pressley's ex-con husband just scored a $2 billion contract from the State of Massachusetts
Conan Harris' team - Liberty Junction - won the deal to privately build and lease back a new $600 million courthouse in Springfield - to state taxpayers - for up to 60 years at a total cost about $2 billion.
As part of the deal, the public never owns the building.
Taxpayers would pay $30 million or more each year in rent under a 40-year lease, with two optional 10-year extensions, totaling around $2 billion.
At the end of the lease, the private owners keep the property.
Conan Harris served about 10 years in federal prison for drug trafficking before marrying Pressley in 2014.

The business secured contracts with NGOs, businesses, and organizations that are involved in government-backed initiatives
This has added to the couple's exploding wealth that went from about -$12,500 in 2018, a year before her election, to about $8 million in 2024.
Pressley, who earns a congressional salary of $174,000, has faced accusations of corruption and hypocrisy from the right,
She has pushed for rent cancellation, taxpayer-funded housing relief, and anti-landlord policies, all while profiting as a landlord herself.
