My fellow Covenant fans, a question

Do you think Pogue and Kate would've stayed together after the events of the movie? or do you think they would've split up and gone their seperate ways?

I headcanon Chase's charade to get to Pogue is being that one really close gay friend with Kate but Pogue just assumes that he tryna hit on Kate to get to him.

I mean I'm really convinced that Chase is Gay. I'm sorry not sorry. No way he is straight, no way he only wants Caleb's power.

For some reasons I think Chase would not know who Harry Potter is, like imagine during his times tryna fit in the covegang with Reid and Tyler “Talks about fantasy novel- that one scene from Harry Potter doesn't make any sense! I literally cou- ouch, Tyler! If I had magic I could do it so much better! Harry Potter can kiss my ass.” “haha, right.” ... “who the fuck is Harry Potter.”

AND WE DEFINITELY NEEDS MORE OF CHASE BACKSTORY, I REALLY WANNA KNOW IF HE IS PURE EVIL OR JUST BROKEN.

I wish they make a remake of this movie and make either Sarah or Kate more essential, like Sarah has potential ain't no way I would read a history book about my bf's ancestors, it sounds too much like stalking no thanks. They could have make Sarah fights through Chase's magic when he makes her sleep and when Sarah wakes up again she can help Caleb.

And let's go to the friendship topic of this movie because why wouldn't they help him in the end, I know, I know. Pogue was in the hospital which is valid, Reid and Tyler were told by Caleb not to follow and help him but since when do these two listen? They don't have to kill Caleb's dad, or if they really want kill him just make Chase extra evil and him comes for his power.

And talking about dads and family where are others' at? Are they orphans? Do all of the covenant members have human raisins in their safehouse somewhere in the forest? I need them to explore more on that, and I would like to see some of their dads look their age or a bit older because he really knows how to control his power.

I really wanna see a witch, seriously, I need it.

And their powers... IT'S ALL THE SAME, I really love the elements headcanon, personally I think Caleb would be water, Chase would be fire (because of how he was thrown into the fire in the last scene we saw him but there's no remains of him, he's probably alive somewhere. But he could be thrown into some void which is my fav theory lol) Pogue would be earth, Reid would be wind and Tyler would be Spirit. BUTTT I really wanna hear from everyone's thoughts, I luv collecting them like they are dolls.

I wanna know why they call them sons of Ipswich because I zoned out a lot during the movie, I have problems.

If there are some charms or anything that will bring normal humans a power like them, it would be fun to watch.

I'm in love-hate relationship with this movie, sigh.

Kate Tunney Headcanons

Kate comes from a double-parent home, with her father being a very wealthy entrepreneur and business owner of a coffee company that he turned into a chain. He’s the main provider for the household, while her mother is a stay-at-home mother and former debutante. Her mother was a very involved parent who ran the PTA, volunteered with several organizations, and ran Kate’s Girl Scout troop. Kate has a much younger sister, a ‘miracle baby’ that happened when her mother was 42. While Kate’s a senior in high school, her baby sister is only one year old and because of this, the two aren’t especially close. Kate likes her sister well enough and helps her mother out with her here and there, but she doesn’t really have an interest in babysitting her sister or really spending tons of time with her.

Kate’s a good student. She’s not neurotic about her grades by any means, but she tries her best to pay attention in classes. She studies for tests and exams (though it’s mostly cram style studying the couple of nights before the tests). She does her homework. She’s a lot more intelligent than most would give her credit for and she learns quickly when she applies herself. Her grades are mostly in the low to high eighties, though there are a couple classes where they dip into the seventies. These are mostly her science-based courses, as she just can’t seem to find an interest in or understanding of the subject.

Kate had braces during the entirety of her middle-school years. She tried everything she could to make them look fashionable but was very happy when they finally came off, just in time for her first year of high school. She’s really careful about her dental hygiene now and brushes at least three times a day, dipping to the bathroom after lunch period to brush her teeth. She hates the thought of ever having to undergo serious dental work again, though her years with the braces did cure her fear of the dentist.

Kate is super active on social media. She’d have accounts on all major social media platforms. She puts a lot of work her accounts and she has pretty major followings on Instagram and TikTok. She becomes pretty well known for her outfit of the day pictures and videos, as well as other fashion, makeup, and skincare stuff that she posts.

Going along with that, I think Kate has a marked interest in both fashion and cosmetology. There’s some arguments with her parents on those subjects, as Kate is leaning more towards pursuing some sort of career related to that. Her parents want her to consider her financial future and choose something based on the earning potential (and, truth be told, on the prestige factor and what would look best for the family). Kate loves doing people’s hair and makeup and she’s really good at it. She’s set up some of her friend’s with customized skin-care routines, has cut a couple friend’s hair for them or dyed it for them, does a lot of updo’s for girls that she knows, and she’s helped people find their right colour palettes and fashion styles. She gets so excited about it all and puts so much effort into it. She gets lost in it and it doesn’t seem at all like work or effort to her. She just can’t help herself from thinking it’s what she wants to do with the rest of her life.

Kate has some thrill-seeking urges that others wouldn’t expect. She’s a huge fan of white-water rafting and she kind of wants to try skydiving, if she can find anyone to do it with her. She loves riding on Pogue’s motorcycle, often encouraging him to go even faster. She’s interested in learning how to drive a motorcycle herself, often begging Pogue to teach her. She’s wheedling him down, little by little.

Despite being a really emotional person, or maybe because she is, Kate is someone who places a high importance on remaining friends with her exes. She might need a little bit of time, a couple weeks or so, to really get okay with the idea if the breakup wasn’t initiated by her, but that’s about it. In her mind, she cares really deeply about that person. They’re important to her and, at one point, she was convinced she was in love with them. That love doesn’t just die for her but does change, even if it takes a while to fully happen, and it’s important for her to continue having that person in her life. She genuinely wishes them well and wants to see the good things that life will bring them and share those happy moments with them.

Kate isn’t a big animal person. She definitely doesn’t hate animals – she’s not going around kicking puppies or anything. She just doesn’t really want them in her life. She has no desire to have pets. There’s too much work and responsibility, plus she kind of thinks that most animals are messy, dirty, that they shed all over the place. She can appreciate the cuteness of some animals and can enjoy other people’s pets, if they don’t jump up on her or anything, but that’s the extent of it.

She puts a lot of effort into decorating her dorm room at Spencer’s. She’s got a very distinct sense of style and taste when it comes to where she’s going to be living and she’ll bend, or outright break, a couple of the rules if it means she can be happy within her room. She’s very into adding a lot of texture into her space – chunky knitted throw blankets, velvet cushions, faux-fur sheepskin rugs by the bed. She loves having a lot of different lighting sources, something like fairy lights or cute shaped nightlights/alarm clocks. Her colour schemes tend to be more muted and on the light side of the spectrum.

Kate still has her childhood teddy bear, a stuffed pink bear that she named Bobo. She thinks she’s gotten too old to bring it with her to school, but there will be days, when she’s really upset or sad, that she wishes she had Bobo in her arms again. Bobo is well-taken care of, painstakingly kept clean and repaired, and Kate takes a lot of care to keep Bobo in that good condition and with her. Even if children never happen for her (because she’s kind of on the fence about whether she even wants them), she wants Bobo to stay with her and her family until she’s old and gray.

My favorite little thing about The Covenant that I always catch and love every time is right at the beginning. Right when the Sons of Ipswich are walking up to Sarah and Kate -- Kate is very blatantly staring at Pogue until Caleb says hi, you can see her eyes avert to Caleb before going back to Pogue with a smile.

Also, read a theory that Chase was fucking with Kate's head the whole movie, honestly - I believe it!
