Darkness approaches from the outside

Kate Argent knew what kind of man her father was from a very young age. It wasn’t strange to her, or unusual, just a fact of life. Gravity pulled you down, the sky was grey with smog, and Gerard Argent was one of the most powerful Bosses in the city.

She was only six the first time she saw him kill a man, red red blood on the white white carpet.

“He was an obstacle.” Her father says. “A weak link.”

Argents are very good at removing obstacles.

And then her father is killed and Chris goes soft and Kate plays with little Allison in her nursery as Victoria turns her hand to continuing the Argent legacy in secret. She isn’t really involved in it, except sometimes when there are obstacles to be removed.
