I would be remiss if I didn't make a post to say some thank yous.

First and biggest thank you has to go to my technical beta Kathe, who not only became a dear friend through the process of writing this fic but jumped right back in the saddle when I came to her with the declaration that I was going to finish Ashes. Thank you for making sure I don't look stupid or sound too much like the filthy American I am. You should follow her here.

Second has to go to Hayden who is the most literal definition of a beta, as in she plot tests the chapters. She not only has to not know what's going to happen like everyone else but also has to read the shitty unpolished versions of chapters and her extensive feedback is a huge part of my process. omfg okay in america you can buy dough for baking croissants and things in a can

these little bastards are vacuum sealed and so when you unwrap them they suddenly POP super loud and if you have a weak heart you scream and drop the can and then your dough is ruined

if you are brave you just shriek but keep holding onto it and then you finish unwrapping it and calmly bake your rolls pretending like you totally didn't just freak out
