plots coming soon: annie cohen, centuries
Annie Cohen didn't plan on being on the Valkyrie with Steve Rogers when he crashed it into the Atlantic Ocean. She didn't plan on whatever substance HYDRA had injected her with to keep her alive, much like Steve himself, for the course of seventy years. And she definitely didn't plan on waking up in the next century with Howard Stark nowhere in sight. But that was her life now. She was a superhero, designed as a weapon but with the choice to do good. She was never meant to be a hero, but maybe this was an opportunity to prove herself to not only Steve, but Howard's son, who had grown up with stories about the "great Annie Cohen" from his father.
It's 2014. Annie should be focused on nothing but getting readjusted to life among the living, technology, and her new official job as a S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent. She shouldn't be focused on the fact that she's having panic attacks and feels more alone than ever. Until that fateful day she happens to stumble into the Veteran's Affair meeting, surrounded by people that understand what she's going through. And she most definitely shouldn't be focused on the fact that Steve's new friend Sam Wilson has helped her more in the past two weeks than anyone had in the past two years.
