hi guys. long post ahead, but i think after talking about it with just my friends, everything in this post needs to be said. please take the time to read everything here until the end! i've divided this all up into sections so it's easier to follow through. this is cross posted from my main nsfw blog, @ilysungho!

1. lack of interactions

so i recently realized that… i kind of hate my writing nowadays, so that combined with the lack of feedback and real interactions—aka reblogs with thoughts, comments, and asks—has been really punching me down. this has been an issue for a while now, but despite talking about it a couple times before and having my fics and minis end with encouragement for you guys' feedback, it's just made me think about whether i should continue writing as often anyways.

i write for myself, for my own pleasure, but being a public writer, you'd think that the public would be more supportive. but instead, i get most of my feedback from other writers, who also happen to be the dear friends i've made through this blog. i love their feedback every time, but i really do wish to see more from the people i publish my writings for, aka you guys! even a comment saying that you liked what i wrote goes a long way. it does so much more than a like.

on a more personal note, i'd love for my anons to come back and tell me how they liked what i've written, or simply asking about me or talking about themselves. it's not a requirement to chat with me by any means, but it would be nice to have more anons and non-anons send asks about how they liked something i posted, especially with my fics. this is just me though, with my account specifically.

2. hate towards nsfw writers

apart from the issue with the audience, there's also been a lot of... i guess, internal drama and thoughts being spread about nsfw writers. bndblr is small as it is, and there aren't very many nsfw writers for the group. i've noticed that the number of younger writers exceed the older ones, and so, it's hard to cater to an audience when the same people i'm supposed to work alongside have something against me, simply because i write nsfw content, aka content that minors shouldn't be interacting with in the first place. we're all here to share content for the boys we love in the first place, so what's the hate?

nsfw isn't bad, or taboo, or whatever word you want to use. it exists because it's real. but my fics and minis and answers to asks are simply for enjoyment, so as i've said here before, block me if you find my account, either here or ilysungho, uncomfortable! and if you don't want to see certain content, then mute the tags as well. i use the tag mute feature very often, and although tumblr could make the feature better, it still is a usable feature. so use it.

3. improper tagging

another thing i've noticed is improper tagging. this really discourages writers from posting on the right tags and readers from engaging with the tags. if i'm searching for sungho soft hours and come across a leehan smut, then what's the point of even going onto the tags you know? so writers, please tag accordingly! there's no need to tag every single member in your post if you're not specifically writing about every member. we don't need member tags if your story is only centered around taesan. it's ok to lose the other member tags. it's not going to lead you to gain less traction.

4. minors interacting with nsfw

another thing that has been sort of eating me up these days, and frankly for months on end now, is minors interacting with my content (on ilysungho, aka my nsfw account). i understand very well that i don't know every person behind the screen, and that i cannot monitor what they do and don't read. but putting up tags and rules comes with a level of trust that i only hope my readers can follow. it is as much for my safety as it is for yours when i say that i do not want minors to interact with my nsfw content. it's one of the few very hard lines i have for that account, because i do not want to be held responsible for something i didn't even know was the case, simply because i decided to write what i wanted to but someone decided to not listen to the rules i have put in place.

i shouldn't have to repeat myself with this, but i suppose the only way i can really avoid this is by blocking minors from being able to view my content from my nsfw account. it's too much work for me to go through hundreds of people in my following and likes, but if this is the only way people will listen, then so be it. if you are blocked, then please add your age to your account before sending me a message through any one of my accounts to get unblocked. that being said, please don't lie about your age either.
