After arguing with people all day about whether or not we should be doing something to prevent the deaths of our children. And reading people say the same thing over and over again, in the same stupidly self righteous way as if my anger is unjustified as they tell me that they will allow more to die before they will put down their bullshit excuses for protection. And try to help us...
I'm in tears.
Kat said some things I wish I had heard sooner. I wish I had heard it when I stayed up till four hoping the results would change. Before I fell asleep knowing that my country had failed to keep hatred down. I wish I had heard them the next day when I didn't go to school because the mock election had voted 80% Trump. I wish I had heard it during the inauguration.
But I hear it now. Loud and clear.
