I'm not the greatest creator, but @katlyn1948 story inspired me to create a little moodboard. Read Tale of Six Weddings on AO3. You'll get mutual pining, jokes, lots of weddings, fake/pretended relationships and OMG they were neighbors! You won't regret it.
Commission of Gendry and Arya from this fanfic for @katlyn1948 , thank you so much!! ❤️❤️
5!!!! And obvi Gendrya!
5. “You haven’t even touched your food. What’s going on?”
When she’d arrived home from work, she’d found Gendry cooking in the kitchen. He’d told her there was a warm bath waiting for her, and on her way to said warm bath, she’d noticed her favourite movie up on the TV screen just waiting for someone to press play.
At first, she wondered if he somehow knew. She hadn’t told a single soul, so she didn’t have a clue how he would’ve found out, but she didn’t mention it. She just went for her bath (and tried not to laugh at his whole-hearted attempt at creating a relaxing candle display in their tiny bathroom you could barely move in).
By the time she got out of the bath, dried her hair and put some comfy clothes on, he was dishing out the food onto plates.
The food was actually pretty good, to be fair to him. It even looked as good as it tasted - which is why it was such a shame when she took two bites and suddenly couldn’t stomach eating it.
“What’s wrong?” Gendry asked, prompting her to look up from eyeing her plate.
She smiled, pushing down the way her stomach was flipping. “Nothing’s wrong.”
“You haven’t even touched your food,” Gendry sighed, with concern in his blue eyes. “What’s going on?”
“I’m pregnant.”
She didn’t know how exactly he was going to react. They’d planned to wait a year after the wedding before even looking for a house, never mind starting a family, and they hadn’t even been married six months yet.
Despite that, she was happy. Ever since she’d realised her period was late the day before, she’d caught those plans in her mind changing. It may have been a bit sooner than they’d planned, but this baby would be hers and Gendry’s. Nothing else seemed to matter.
“You’re…” Gendry sucked in a breath. “You’re sure?”
She nodded. “I took two different tests and both were positive straight away. I’m sure.”
He moved from his seat, kneeling in front of her and reaching for her hands. “Are you happy about this?”
“Yeah, I am,” she said. “Are you?”
“Are you kidding?” he laughed, leaning to kiss her cheek. “Nothing has ever made me happier.”
