I can imagine them doing something like going to karaoke or going to more touristy kinda places around Akatsuka. Like he’s seen it, lived around before so it’s familiar to him but he’s like- super enamored at how excited and interested she is seeing places he grew up around 🥹 Also they’d both be super goofy in a karaoke session together. Definitely singing some kinda city pop songs or something together

anyone wanna help me with a little creative writing exercise? 👉👈

send me a character from arcane + a song, and i'll try to whip up a drabble/oneshot based on it!

i'm most comfortable writing for ekko, viktor, caitlyn, vi, and jinx but i can definitely still try for jayce, mel, and silco if they're requested <3

pairing will be character x gender neutral reader

artistic liberties like AUs may be taken, you can suggest if you want and i can try to incorporate it (keyword: try ;-;)

these might take some time to finish bcs i still have schoolwork to attend to so pls understand! if this is well-received i might even do it regularly, who knows 👀 anw tysm and have fun~

I take some pride in knowing for sure that I'm not human, in a sense that I'm glad that I trust that part of my identity so much that it can't possibly be challenged by anything externally.

I can look at myself in the mirror and still believe it, still say it, and know I'm right no matter what's staring back at me.

as far as I'm concerned — and as far as I know — I'm a beast in human clothing.

When/where/how did you first learn about alterhumanity? Is there anything you know now about it that you wish you could have told yourself then?

alright so, I'm gonna be referencing a lot of our previous host's history in the community rather than my own specifically, as I awakened veryyy recently (and very suddenly) and she isn't exactly around to post her thoughts herself.

we discovered the alterhuman community near the end of 2018. honestly the memory has long since fucked off, but I'm guessing we stumbled across it on Tumblr. after that, we found some forums and discord servers where we did more reading about things like therianthropy and socializing with the community. we also frequented some therian channels on YT.

we were, what, barely a teenager at the time? afaik we had a pretty immature and kinda misinformed perception of what alterhumanity was.

we've always had pretty atypical experiences when it came to our sense of identity — and how we perceived ourselves especially — so it was no fuckin wonder that we were naturally attracted towards the alterhuman community!

over the years as we've matured and grown real familiar with introspection, we've started taking our alterhumanity more seriously. honestly, as much as the lighthearted aspects of our experiences are appreciated, we thought self-exploration was even more fun.

we liked thinking about our nonhumanity deeper, researching topics, browsing old otherkin websites, and just generally being more open and honest about ourselves and our ability to learn. we've spent years and years on just ourselves and our own experience and I'll be damned if I call that a waste of time.

but still, we got a lot more to learn and consider and reconsider. and honestly? I'm happy about that. it's as taxing as it is rewarding ^^

if there was something we could've been told then, it would've been that there were so many other ways to exist than I thought were possible. I would've encouraged ourselves to explore things, to explore myself and my identity, and most of all to Write Things Down holy SHIT past us /lh

most of all I would've told ourselves to keep doing what we were doing and have fun with our identity and self-exploration, because that's what kept us going with the community and led us to where we are right now.

thinking abt how mirabel doesn't talk abt herself in "the family madrigal" bcs she probably doesn't consider herself part of, or at least as special and noteworthy as the family even if she tells the kids otherwise

thinking abt how when antonio got his gift, it was confirmed in mirabel's head that the reason she hadn't gotten a gift wasn't bcs there was smth wrong with the magic; maybe it was just smth wrong with her

thinking abt how mirabel was able to do everything she said she couldn't but would do in "waiting for a miracle";

she moved the mountains when casita first had to fall apart before being rebuilt. she made new trees and flowers bloom by helping isabela discover the true extent of her gift. she made rainclouds disappear for the sun to shine again when she and abuela alma made up by the river. she healed the family's broken relationship and showed them smth new—that they are more than just their gifts

thinking abt how starved i must be of my family's acknowledgment of my efforts for me to sob that much over the part in "all of you" where the madrigals gave mirabel her own door

thinking abt how mirabel's door is the front door of casita + all the madrigals are on it and she's at the center bcs she's become the foundation of the family

just thinking abt mirabel madrigal. and how i wanna give her (and all of our inner children) the biggest hug

alr got some plot ideas down for most of the arcane songfic requests i've received so far after this post!! some notes:

(tentative) wip count: 10 viktor, 9 jinx, 8 silco, 7 ekko, 5 vi, 5 caitlyn

i'm trying my best to include every request so for some characters, i combined two similar songs into a single scenario. i hope y'all don't mind that ;;

i'm very sorry if i ever skipped your request, i couldn't think of good ideas for some songs yet. i'll definitely keep them in my inbox tho and get back to them another time if i can :c

i wanna make this a regular thing for sure so i'll keep my asks open, you can send in arcane songfic requests anytime!! i'll make a rules and masterlist post soon but to request, it's generally the same format: song + artist + arcane character + (optional) plot <3
