Sometimes it’s Kylo who says it, heavy arm flung over Armitage’s middle, voice low and thick with sleep, eyelashes firmly pillowed on his cheeks: “It’s not morning yet.”

And sometimes it’s Armitage, burrowing further beneath the blanket, pressing his face into Kylo’s shoulder and mumbling against his skin: “It is not morning yet.”

Sometimes when Kylo says it, it’s because he’s only just fallen asleep, and Kylo doesn’t sleep so much as doze in an anxious haze, so he says it in exhaustion, willing it to be true. And those times, when Armitage says it, he’s saying it back; it’s an assurance that Kylo’s will is indeed reality.

But sometimes, sometimes, Armitage says it because it is morning, the night has passed and their time together is over, and he is imagining he is king, emperor, god, and that he can make his own will real.

Ahah I did! it’s very sneaky I didn’t want the AU to be too much about ABO. It exists, they are alpha and omega but it’s not what defines them so I try not to overdo it and to show that they are not trapped into gender roles just because of their biology!

That AU is a way for me to work around the 2 things I have problems with when it comes to arranged marriage and ABO tropes: the dub con aspect.Here, they have been forced to marry and their families probably see it as a perfect match (an alpha prince with an omega who’s the heir of the head of a large clan? Perfect!) but they did not consent to it, and are both very aware that the other doesn’t want it. So they do the honorable thing: they wait. Armitage is more of a little asshole about it because he’s really pissed to have been sent there and hates them all including Kylo, while Kylo is charmed by his fiery temper and believes his mother when she tells him about her visions of their future together, he wants to make it work.This results in them rooming together after they are married, but not consummating. Armitage sleeps on a cot a few feet away from the bed and will purposefully do things like touching himself at night when he knows very well Kylo isn’t sleeping just to fuck with his head. Thank you! I made a list a few months ago of the Kylux tropes I didn’t like but had no reason not to and started to educate myself on them and now I’m working on drawing them. ABO, mpreg, BDSM, explicit sex… I’m learning a lot about myself now that I try to see these through the eyes of other fans. Anyways, I’m glad you like where I’m taking that story and I hope I won’t disappoint!
