30, 39 and 46 for all the OCs!
Thanks so much for the ask, friend! I uh…have a lot of OCs, haha. So you’ll have to forgive me if I don’t answer each question for all of them. But I will answer all of them for different OCs!
30. Are they holding on to something in the past? Can he or she forgive?
Evka: She is absolutely holding on to something from her past. Several things, actually. All of them stem from the fact that her home was taken over and put under tight military control. She’s lost a lot of people she cared about, and her life has completely changed as a result. Evka’s still not sure if she can forgive. She certainly won’t forget.
Rosalind: Oh, Rose. There’s something big and obvious looming in her past: her father’s death a year ago. The trouble is, she refuses to let herself think about it. At all. She presses back her emotions as far as they’ll go, to the point where she’s just numb to them, instead of fully experiencing them. After all, she has a nation to run. She doesn’t have time to grieve.
Lev: The eldritch horror itself. Funny enough, a lot of people don’t appreciate having their minds broken into and their nightmares made real. It’s made Lev a lot of enemies. Some of those enemies have undergone rather drastic measures to try to get rid of it. Lev doesn’t mind. It’ll outlive them all by eternities. And when you have lifetimes to plan how to get back at those who have wronged you, a few hundred years’ darkness doesn’t seem so bad.
39. What do they like to ridicule? What do they find stupid?
Robin: You won’t find a more sassy, dry-humored lady than her. She can poke fun at just about anything. Robin’s particularly fond of taking things said in ordinary conversation and picking them completely apart, enjoying how frustrated it makes the person she’s talking with.
Garan: If you’re within a 10-mile radius of him and say something factually inaccurate or based on a logic he doesn’t agree with, he’ll physically manifest next to you and start telling you exactly why and how you’re wrong.
Zakhar: A master in the art of the subtle insult. You might never even know you’ve done anything he finds stupid. In fact, you might come away thinking he’s complimented you. But he hasn’t. Oh, he hasn’t. That smile is because he thinks himself so much smarter than you, and knows you’ll never be able to touch him.46. Is your character tall? Short? What about size? Weight? Posture? How do they feel about their physical body?
Havel: My soft and warm boy! He’s one of the taller members of the orchestra. He’s kinda chubby, which makes him extremely self-conscious of his body. (Though he doesn’t realize he gives literally the best hugs!) He hides his shape behind his favorite clothing: sweaters.
Isidor: This man is TALL. Seriously. He’s my tallest character ever. And he’s undergone the equivalent of a knight’s training, which has basically given him a build like a muscly tank. Isi views his physical condition as a reflection of his ability to be a Steel Mage. He’s trained hard, and his body reflects that. This is part of the reason why he’s so scared of physical pain, since it interferes with his ability to protect those he loves.
Perrin: She’s about average-height for the people living in the Fleet. And like most Fleetfolk, she’s pretty bony, since food can be scarce even at the best of times. Because of her magitech infection, she has to monitor her body for cuts and scrapes on a daily basis. Any blood shed means she could potentially be found out as being infected. Because of this, and because of the way the infection damages her circulatory system, Perrin sometimes feels like her body is a foreign entity, like she’s not completely in control.
